Cheating! So I have been using ChatGPT 5 to come up with interesting photo ideas to take down in Melbourne. I have asked it for those which would be free to take at certain times of the day, when to be there etc for the best light, and for each photoshoot I would be happy to pay for entry fees to gain access to others (e.g. The Latest French Impressionist paintings on display at the NGV - National Gallery of Victoria). I've given it a fairly liberal 12 hours for a planned visit. So in the grid it came back with some excellent ideas, a number of which I had not thought of. But here's the problem . . . I have asked it for map with a walking route with times between targets and whether or not a trip on a Tram is best, etc. It stays stuck on stupid and keeps referring to "as the crow flies". I am not a crow however, and need denoted footpaths and laneways and streets to walk on and how long they will take and which obstacles I might face - what are the known Tram delays due to Protesters on a Saturday, etc. Will keep working on it, however once this is perfected and one has a Drone at hand . . . LOL, just input this and say "Drone Go!" and observe from 150 km away. Taking all the fun out of Street Photography by 2030, but hey . . . you can't beat nor fight the ever improving Tech World we are slowly inheriting. Thoughts? What do you think we will be facing in 2030?

Hey, so long as there's a bit of Asphalt, or some concrete and some sort of a city background and then some human doing some Stupid Human Tricks, then you've nailed it . . . It's Street Art and Street Photography. Nice work! You're In 🥰
Juxtaposition Problem Solved
Juxtaposition Sometimes Just Happens - So I was lining up this train at Southern Cross Station the other day. A nice look, soon departing the station for Seymour which is north of Melbourne in the Central part of Victoria. Perfect location to reveal the quite attractive curvy roofline along with a VLocity train (VLocity is a play on VLine which means Victoria Rail Line or the old VRail, basically it covers all the purple coloured country trains). But then all of a sudden this woman on an Electric Scooter comes zooming up the platform, totally unexpected. Powerful Diesel Train, going nowhere, woman on an Electric Scooter Zooms past. Perfect Juxtaposition photo for the GuruShots Challenge called "Juxtaposition" which is on right now. Sometimes with Street Photography you just have to be still and observe and allow what is about to come past you, come past you. Then Snap, Snap, Edit, Edit . . . Perfect! Juxtaposition Problem Solved.

@Steve Earl Hi Steve, I would be very happy to receive your comment, suggestions, ideas, because with photography nothing is perfect and we all need to be on a pathway to continuous improvement.

@Steve Earl Hi Steve, thanks for the recommendations, there are definitely some good thoughts here. Yes the crop idea would have brought more emphasis to the primary subject of the photo.
Don't Dream its Over
Yesterday at the corner of Swanston and Bourke Streets, Melbourne. Protests all across the Melbourne CBD, its become a weekly Saturday event. Which means its a Street Photography paradise and a chance to capture a whole lot of fun stuff. Named this one after the Crowded House song because it relates. Luv the purple guy pushing the coloured cart with the Aboriginal Flag with all the onlookers watching.

Pink Stretch Hummer
So I was inside Crown Casino Melbourne, last Friday evening. The Geelong v Brisbane game was just about to begin (Aussie Rules Footy) over at the Gee. Just finishing taking photos of the giant staircase and all its colours, I meet this guy from Aurora, Ontario. We have a quick chat as fellow Canucks, and lament last seasons defeat of the Maple Leafs to the Florida Panthers (but hey, at least they made it into the playoffs). So then I take a step outside and am greeted by this. Like what do you do with a Giant Pink Hummer when it turns up in your viewfinder, but shoot and shoot and shoot until the battery runs out :-) Amazing Street Photo Opps happening all the time in the big city. Just need to be ready to respond and enjoy.
