I graduated college as a SW Developer. However, I haven't written a line of code in 20 years. I have been writing code like a maniac in the last 4 months: VBA for excel/data manipulation at Corp job, Typescript/SQL for AI tools. I can still read code but I rarely do because there is no point. When I can pilot the 'developer' that produces code faster than I can type, why would I code? Times are changing - understanding underlying architectures will become more important than code and even that is something you can ask AI to teach you so that you can direct the agents correctly. My advice - dont let lack of coding (or technical skills) stop you - get to building.
