@Joel Polley how do u see that idea of being a real man? Of belief to actions or the shame we often send out for not doing enough this or doing too much that?

Was literally processing that with God today. I used to be a lot more willing to walk into my fears. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. Be curious. And I would grow, and get more comfortable. As I've gotten older, I've become more averse to that. Life, trauma and so on have been a lot. So I'm working on getting back to facing, embracing fear, until it melts away like a snowball in hades

Love this. Been thinking about it a lot. I wonder what the nuances are between profession and vocation. I have a slightly different version that I've been thinking about (see pic). But I've really been pursuing this idea because, like a lot of people, I feel tired of tolerating my day to day. Of spending so much of my time doing something I don't truly love. And I would agree, when love/joy/fun enter the equation, and you can marry that with skill/talent/experience, and find a place in the market where you love what you offer and the market loves it, that's the magic sauce. on my way

@Joel Polley none of "The talks" prepared me for that. Probably for multiple reasons. But yeah, marriage is not for the faint of heart 😫
