Hmm, building/landscaping/gardening in the summer. Currently driving people from the airport to the ski resorts in the winter.
WHAT DAW ARE YOU USING AND WHY? 🎶
Seeing as the last time we did this we only had about 100 members, let's get an update! What DAW are you mainly using these days and what about it has captured your heart? (Last time Bitwig was the big winner...) Vote below and leave a comment below briefly explaining why you use that DAW.

@Lex Christopherson I've also heard this. I have a buddy in (new) jersey who makes tracks in bitwig but mixes and masters in studio one. I think bitwig is fine for that stuff too. Maybe I need more ear training...

@Stephan Ralescu Yes! Plugin sandboxing is a total win. I have VERY rarely have bitwig crash on me. Looking at you Ableton.
Hi, I'm Steve, artist name; go-stop
I was a singer in bands in my youth and have always been pretty music obsessed. I got into making music with a computer more seriously over the last couple of years. I'm from the south east coast of the UK but now live in the French Alps. I'm from an art and design background so I can kind of turn my hand to anything. I just love making things, whether that's physical objects or prints, or music. I'd love to stop being intimidated by synthesisers, and be waaayy better at sound design. 🤣

@Lex Christopherson I walked to Nice from where I live a couple of years ago. That was quite an adventure. There's a path that starts at the hook of Holland and winds its way all the way down to Nice. It kinda goes right past where I live so I just thought, 'why not?'.

21 days. Including a couple of days rest in a town about half way down. AND I got attacked by dogs... Another story for another time...
let me kno - future garage?
So this is a track that I ACTUALLY RELEASED (!) or self released on all the platforms using distrokid. This was over a year ago now. I don't really feel I've progressed a great deal from a production point of view. Well, maybe a little. But I'm pretty much still in this wheelhouse, vibes wise. I find it quite difficult to write what you'd call, happy tunes. I'm quite drawn to more melancholic atmospheres. But i'm workin' on it. 😁. See? Anyway, see what you think, I'd love some feedback. https://soundcloud.com/go_stop/let-me-no-mas1?si=de9869f49d494cc1bece79564736800c&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Brit living in the French Alps. In bands as a younger person. I guess my style is broken beat/future garagey type stuff without wanting to label.
