Meet Mike – The Business Owner Who Thought He Had Time
Mike is 52, a self-made business owner, husband, and father. He’s spent years grinding through long hours, putting his business, family, and responsibilities first. But somewhere along the way, he stopped looking after himself. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. He told himself he’d make changes—eat better, move more, take it seriously. But life got in the way. Work stress, late nights, skipped meals. Now, he’s constantly exhausted, his brain fog is getting worse, and his body feels heavier every day. He shrugs it off, calls it “just a rough patch.” But deep down, he knows the truth. A recent doctor’s visit forced him to face what he’s been avoiding—his diabetes isn’t just something to “manage.” It’s getting worse. And if he doesn’t take action, insulin is next. Through his journal, Mike shares his raw, unfiltered journey of self-realisation, struggle, and change. He’s not perfect—he hesitates, resists, makes excuses—but he’s real. And as he takes his first steps toward reclaiming his health, you might just see yourself in him. Follow Mike’s story. Because like him, you might think you have time. But what if you don’t?

Mike is the third persona. Perhaps it's Mike's situation that resonates most strongly with you? Perhaps with you it's not T2D but some other chronic health condition? Be around fro introductions to all 7 personas - after which there will be a poll. The poll will decide which charaxcter is further developed on the feed 🤓
Meet James: The Executive on the Edge of Burnout
James has always been the high-achiever, the one who gets things done. As a senior corporate executive, he’s spent years excelling under pressure, juggling endless meetings, and making critical decisions. On the outside, he looks like he has it all—success, respect, a thriving career. But behind the polished exterior, cracks are starting to show. The energy dips in the afternoons, the reliance on coffee to push through late nights, the restless sleep that leaves him waking up just as exhausted. And then there’s the unshakable feeling that something isn’t right. He’s seen colleagues crash under the weight of stress, some forced into medical leave, others too late to change course. He can’t let that be him. James’s journal is a raw, honest look at what happens when you finally acknowledge that success means nothing if you’re too burnt out to enjoy it. It’s about pushing past doubt, navigating workplace resistance, and challenging the “just push through” mentality that’s embedded in corporate culture. Follow his journey as he reclaims his health, faces his fears, and proves that it’s never too late to rewrite the rules. Because real success isn’t just about climbing the ladder—it’s about making sure you’re still standing when you reach the top.

Meet the Resistance Reset Personas
Inside this community, I’ll sometimes share short reflections from a set of personas I’ve developed. These are not case studies. They are composite storylines, built from patterns I’ve seen again and again through years of work in emotional healing, health change, business change, leadership, confidence, identity and personal transformation. Why use personas? Because it is often easier to recognise resistance in someone else before we can fully see it in ourselves. A persona can show us: - The founder who knows what to do, but keeps avoiding the next visible step - The professional who looks capable on the outside, but feels quietly overwhelmed - The practitioner who is gifted with clients, but struggles to build a sustainable business - The person facing a health wake-up call who realises the issue is not just food, discipline or knowledge - The leader who has spent years carrying responsibility, but has lost connection with their own needs - The person who senses there is a bigger life calling, but keeps postponing it As these stories unfold, I invite you to notice where you recognise yourself. Not with judgement. With curiosity. You may not relate to every persona. That’s fine. But when one of them makes you pause, that pause may be worth listening to. That may be where your own resistance is asking to be understood.

Community Rules & How We Comment:-
Welcome to The Resistance Reset.🤓 This is a thoughtful space for people who want to understand what keeps them stuck and begin creating change that lasts. To keep the community useful, safe and grounded, please follow these simple rules: 1. Be respectful Disagreement is fine. Dismissiveness, personal attacks, shaming, bullying or judgement are not. We are here to explore resistance with curiosity, not blame. 2. Share from your own experience Use “I” language where possible. For example: “What I’ve noticed in myself is…”“My experience has been…”“This made me think about…” Please avoid diagnosing, labelling or telling other members what is wrong with them. 3. No unsolicited advice Support is welcome. Fixing people is not. Before offering advice, ask: “Would you like a reflection, or would you prefer me just to witness this?” This is especially important when people are sharing something personal. 4. Keep comments constructive When commenting, aim to add one of the following: - Encouragement - A thoughtful question - A personal insight - A useful reflection - A relevant resource, only where appropriate Avoid one-word replies, sarcasm, arguments or derailing someone’s post. 5. No selling or pitching Please do not promote your services, offers, events, products, affiliate links or communities unless Stephen has specifically invited this. This is a relationship-first space, not a pitching room. 6. Keep confidentiality Do not screenshot, copy or share another member’s post outside this community without their clear permission. People need to feel safe enough to be honest. 7. Keep posts relevant This community is about resistance, change, emotional patterns, personal growth, health, business, leadership, practice development and meaningful transformation. General rants, political arguments, spam or unrelated content may be removed. 8. This is not medical, legal or financial advice Members may discuss health, business or life challenges, but nothing shared here should replace professional advice from a qualified medical, legal, financial or mental health professional.
