Quick thought:
A lot of people wait until they feel ready… but that moment never really comes. You just start, mess up, learn, and get better as you go. I’m at that stage right now focused on improving every day and staying consistent no matter what. If you could give ONE piece of advice to someone trying to level up, what would it be?

@Jordan H Fair enough verification matters. Until then, I’ll let the ideas speak louder than the label.

@Dan O'Riordan Thank you so much i really appreciate
Hey guys, If you’ve only been “thinking about writing a book” for months without starting
It’s probably not motivation. It’s lack of clarity. Once you know who it's for, what it helps them with Writing becomes 10x easier. What’s your book about?

Hello, how are you doing nice to meet you fellow author here.
What platform is best?
I'm just curious. Which platform do you use, and, why? I am currently using KDP because of the ease of use etc. But, I find they take a huge chunk. Something like 55%, That's high. Someone recommended books.by. Been checking them out. However, they do not support eBooks, only paperback distribution. However, you pay a one-time fee of $99 and you keep 100% royalties and paid daily. Others recommend Ingram Spark. But, you must purchase your own ISBN. So what is your go-to?

I would recommend using Amazon KDP.

@Jordan H I appreciate that that’s a strong way to put it. Sometimes the best ideas really do come after stepping away for a bit and clearing the mind. Green spaces tend to do that well. What is this?
“One thing I’ve noticed as an author…
Most writers focus on publishing the book… but not where readers go after they discover it. Quick question:If someone finds your book today, where do you actually send them? Amazon only? Or somewhere else?”

Great point this is something many authors underestimate. For my work, I typically direct readers to Amazon KDP as the primary destination. However, I also see the value in building a broader reader pathway, such as a landing page or email list, to support long-term engagement beyond the initial book discovery.

@Jack Slater Appreciate that it’s definitely a solid base. Now it’s really about building on top of it and turning that initial discovery into a longer-term connection with readers.
Authors & marketers
Where do you struggle the most in book sales? A. Ads that bring clicks but no sales B. Landing page doesn’t convert C. Low email capture for follow-ups D. Not enough traffic Comment A, B, C, or D 👇Let’s see which one’s the biggest pain point!
