Hi Folks Hope all’s good with everyone. Just came across this site—big shoutout to @Ray Newland for putting together such a brilliant community for keepers. I'm originally from Newcastle, but I’ve been in the States since coming over 30+ years ago to play college soccer. What started as a shot at being a student-athlete ended up being my whole life! I played, then spent two decades coaching Division 1 college soccer, so I’ve seen the game in the US from all sides. These days, I run an ECNL youth club in Connecticut and a recruiting company that helps young players figure out the whole college soccer maze. It can get tricky sometimes, but it’s seriously worth it. Just last week, an Aussie keeper I work with signed with D1 powerhouse Purdue University, which was pretty awesome to see! I love to see young players chase down their dreams. I know there are loads of questions about this whole recruiting thing—for you and your families. If you’ve got anything you want to know about getting recruited as a keeper in the States, drop it in the comments below. Happy to help however I can—just ask away! Cheers Steve

😱😱😱 AMAZING ONCE IN A LIFE OPPORTUNITY 😱😱😱
For the Female goalkeepers wanting to maybe get a college scholarship, one of my friends has sent me this once in a lifetime opportunity. "Harvard University is seeking a female goalkeeper to join their team starting August 2026. International experience is preferred, and top-tier academics are essential." I have just asked for more info - like age of keeper etc... let me know if this interests you and soon as i get more info - i will let you know.

@Emily Hart Yeah its for players who are graduating high school in the Spring of 2026 or current grads who have not signed a pro contract! Plenty of time for you but give yourself at least an 18 month to 2 year window as its a long process.

@Kathy Martin Hi Kathy. Correct the Ivy League don't do Athletic scholarships but they have other means to bring in players form overseas. If they want you and you have the grades they can make it work. FYI D1 and D2 offer soccer scholarships but D3 programs can only offer academic scholarship money.
