NEW SEMINAR INCOMING! What should we cover?
Big news — we’re getting ready for the next FREE live seminar inside the Martial Arts Academy. This time we’re filming with Sifu Martin Gonzalez, an instructor we met at the Water & Steel seminar with Kelly Worden and his team. When we trained and filmed with Martin, he showed us powerful street-fighting concepts rooted in traditional systems like Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Boxing — and the clips went absolutely gangbusters. Martine is one of those rare instructors whose knowledge comes from real experience and hard training — not just theory. When he talks, you listen. We’re traveling to film a free live seminar with him, and we want your input. We’re planning a course focused on real street fighting — how Martine takes traditional martial arts, strips away the nonsense, and focuses on what actually works. Vote on the topics below. The winning topic will become the focus of the live seminar. Let us know what you want to learn — and we’ll build the seminar around it

This is a difficult choice. These are all good. Sifu Martin Gonzalez has spent decades learning and teaching blade work. I enjoyed his blade work segment in the Water and Steel seminar. Applying traditional martial arts to modern combat may help improve my own training, look at kata interpretation differently, and improve my body mechanics. Dirty fighting I think may open some eyes. We don’t know, what we don’t know. This may be especially helpful in multiple attackers.
Who Are Some Martial Artists You Would You Like to See?
Some people I would like to see if possible would be … Maul Mornie. He teaches his family style of Silat. Silat Suffian Bela Diri. The precision of his strikes to manipulate the opponent’s body is impressive. Rory Miller. Retire law enforcement. He covers force law, force escalation, and aftermath. He teaches his version of body position called the golden move. Where can I position myself where I can cause the most damage, while my opponent(s) can do the least damage. Facing Violence is one of my favorite books by him. Cliff Odette. I never met him, but he seems knowledgeable about fighting. I would enjoy learning more about his self defense philosophy, fighting concepts, and the hard life lessons and techniques he learned from bare knuckle fighting. Coach Donovin Britt. I’ve only seen his clips on Las Vegas Combat Academy. I am interested in his fighting style and philosophy. Professor David James. Vee Arnis Jitsu. Pay Attention! I like his no nonsense approach to self defense. I’ve only seen his clips on YouTube. Who would you like to see in the next seminar?
