👉 The prompt I use before saying yes to any summit
(Full disclosure: @Brenda Rigney's summits are an automatic yes. This prompt is for everyone else. 😄) I've spoken at enough summits now to know that not all of them are worth your yes. Have you ever said yes to a summit, gotten excited, spent all that time and energy, and then realized the summit wasn't right for whatever reason? Yeah me too.🤦🏻♀️ Now I run every opportunity through this prompt first. "Act as a summit strategy advisor and reference our chats on [insert relevant chats/memory/files if you have them]. I've been invited to speak at a summit and I want to evaluate whether it's worth my yes before I commit. Ask me a series of questions, one at a time, about the summit: the host, the audience, the theme, the format, the promotion expectations, the speaker lineup, and what's being offered to speakers. After each answer, confirm what you've learned. Once you have the full picture, give me: first, an honest assessment of whether this summit is a strong, moderate, or weak fit for my business right now and why. Second, the three biggest green flags. Third, the three biggest red flags or missing pieces. And fourth, one question I should ask the host before I commit. Don't tell me what I want to hear: tell me what I need to know." 👉 The "don't tell me what I want to hear" line is the most important part. Summit FOMO is real and AI will validate your excitement if you let it. This prompt doesn't let it. 😉 Where are you right now?🤔
