I think this one is my favorite. The amount of praise that Job is giving to remind us that God is sovereign and creator over everything, even the lighting and thunder. What a mighty God we serve.
But I tell you, in this you are not right, for God is greater than any mortal. 13 Why do you complain to him that he responds to no one’s words ? 14 For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it.- do you feel God answers when you complain or vent??
I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe and my turban.- what are we wearing daily to walk the walk and talk the talk? Actions speak louder than words and I think Job is a great example of that.
@Lucy Hutchings yes, i think the lesson here is what are you putting your value in? is it riches, glory and honor from humans or are you trusting God enough that the values that we live by will be rewarded to us as it is promised in the scriptures? Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. 1 Samuel 26:23 The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed. The Crown of Glory (1 Peter 5:4)
