As I’m helping other creators build their UGC portfolios, I keep noticing the same 3 things that can make a HUGE difference in how long people watch your videos. And if no one has told you, how would you know?!? 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝘀! 👇🏽 1️⃣ 𝐂𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄! ✂️ Those extra seconds before you start talking? Cut them! Long pauses, big breaths between sentences, awkward endings? Cut those too. Keep your video moving. Every second matters! 2️⃣ 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 1–3 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐒! 👀 Use a short, bold on-screen text hook AND a visual pattern interrupt. For example: 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗸: - “I wish I knew this sooner!” - "You're probably doing this wrong..." 👀 - "THIS is why it's not working!" - "Stop doing this before you waste your money!" - "Nobody talks about THIS part..." - "You're making this harder than it needs to be!" - "I tested it so you don't have to!" - "Don't buy this until you see this!" - "This one mistake changes EVERYTHING!" - 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀: Drop a product into your hand, bring something quickly into the frame, or make a quick movement toward the camera. Give people a reason to stop scrolling! 3️⃣ 𝐀𝐃𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 & 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄! A lot of people watch videos with the sound OFF. Your captions help them follow along! In my experience, simple white captions with a black outline, like TikTok’s classic style, work great. Keep it to 2–3 words at a time on screen. 👉🏽 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸: If you’re talking directly to the camera, position captions just below your chin. People are already looking at your face. Don’t make them search the screen to read what you’re saying! You don’t need complicated editing to make content people stop and watch. Sometimes it’s the smallest changes that keep them watching! 🙌🏽 👇🏽 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 3 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘆?
