Writing it out โœ๏ธ
I believe in journaling. Iโ€™ve been writing my thoughts and devotions in a plethora of notebooks and journals before I ever knew โ€œdaily journaling โ€œ was a thing. This morning as I was preparing for my morning devotion time, (aka making coffee) โ˜•๏ธ I had the thought that I need to drill down deeper into the things Iโ€™m believing for right now. To write out everything, specifically some things I may be thinking about but havenโ€™t specifically prayed about. This thought led me to go find my old prayer journal and begin using it again. (Last entry was in 2020.) ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿซฃ Its companion book, Prayers that avail much, was my guide in learning how to pray according to Godโ€™s Word over 30 years ago. Side note: It was such a blessing to see a prayer that I wrote over our goals to buy a house almost 20 years ago and the follow-up entry of the answer. We still live in and love our little house 19 years later! ๐Ÿก As Christian Goal Achieving Ladies, praying scriptural prayers over our goals is a holy turbo boost for not only our achievement, but also our alignment. (Thereโ€™s no shame in crossing out a goal that we thought was right at the time, but the Lord steers us in a different direction.) Question: Would you find it helpful to have a module in our Classroom that has scriptural prayers that you can use as a guide to pray over your goals? Please put yes, no, or maybe so in comments. ๐Ÿ˜ (GIFs encouraged!)

1. I am becoming a creative storyteller, writing to learn and publishing to teach. 2. I am building a catalog of stories, both fiction and nonfiction, to express the steadfast love of God in multiple forms. 3. It matters because writing is how I think, process, learn, and develop my talent. Readers may find inspiration, conviction, and affirmation to turn their hearts and minds to the Giver of every good thing.
Where it all began - Part 4
After sharing the humble beginnings of this Goal Getting journey, I feel like now is when the rubber truly meets the road. This is where we establish traction and momentum - daily habits and practices that are actionable, practical, and measurable. This is where we experience true personal transformation, because we're not just doing more - we are becoming more. We are learning, growing, and strengthening ourselves for our achievements. None of us are here for self-serving reasons. We are here because we are God-fearing, God-serving, love-giving women of faith. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Because of that, we are boldly moving forward without guilt, hesitation, or reservation. We know in our hearts that our bottom line is pleasing the Lord and carrying out the divine destiny He has prepared for each of us - and we will not listen when the enemy tries to whisper that we are being greedy or selfish. Every good and perfect gift comes from God, and we will spend the few short years we have on this planet "going about and doing good," just as Jesus did as our example, empowered by the Holy Spirit. There are two things I want to touch on as we move forward: I live in Tulsa, OK, and I'm a member of the Online Campus of Faith Church, pastored by David and Nicole Crank. (You'd be amazed at how many online members there are all over the country!) We continue to meet each week, as you can see from the weekly replays posted in the Classroom. The Goal Getters Online Connect Group is part of the Connect Groups ministry of Faith Church in St. Louis, Missouri and West Palm Beach, Florida. As I shared previously, each week we work our way through the book Goal Getters by Nicole Crank. Sometimes we'll spend two to four weeks discussing a single chapter - and that's perfectly fine! The principles and action items in the book are a repeatable process that can be continually applied to your goals as you achieve them and create new ones.

Where it all began - Part 1
Friends, as promised in a previous post, I want to take you back to where this whole Skool group thing startedโ€ฆ It was 2020. I had just wrapped up three years of trying to build my own thing as an independent insurance sales rep. (You know the pitch: "Selling life insurance is easy!" ๐Ÿ˜„) It didnโ€™t quite work out the way I planned, and I had made the decision to go back to a work-from-home W-2 job. Now here's the thing about me - I'm generally a pretty optimistic person. I bounce. But I'd be less than honest if I said I wasn't quietly carrying some disappointment about how that chapter had ended. I had really believed I could make it work. What kept me grounded during that season? My Thursday night ladies group with my fellow Tulsa Church On The Move members. Every week, a beautiful group of women gathered in my dining room to study the Real Jesus curriculum together, and that consistent time in the Word was exactly what I needed. I was the one leading the group, but honestly? God was using that group to minister right back to me. One particular Thursday, I had an idea. My pastor at Faith Church in St. Louis - Pastor Nicole Crank, - was hosting her Fall Women's Conference that same evening. The theme was goal setting. I asked my ladies: "Would y'all be up for watching this together tonight and making it our discussion?" They were all in. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ None of us had any idea what was about to happen. (To be continuedโ€ฆ) ๐Ÿ‘€

Quick Update
Hi, Friends! I have paused a few days on posting as I ponder our path forward here. Also, if you read my earlier post about my trip to the ER and that it turned out that I had a stroke, wellโ€ฆ I have a tendency to just keep going as if it never happened and assume I can keep up the same pace. As I sit here with ice on my foot while typing due to a wildly ungraceful tumble I took this morning while taking the trash can to the curb, I realize that I need to make a few tweaks. For our group, Iโ€™d like to start by going back a bit to share the history of how the idea for this group came about and what I hope we can accomplish together here. I will start with that tomorrow, as honestly Iโ€™m finding it a struggle to think creatively with throbbing toes. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿšจ For now Iโ€™ll just say as both old and new friends join the group, I can sense your hopefulness for dreams and ideas that youโ€™re excited about achieving and I believe we are all going to support each other forward. ๐Ÿฅฐ PS: Will you please say a prayer for my toes, my knee, and my wrist? ๐Ÿคช Iโ€™m a little banged up at the moment. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Thank you!

I think we are the same person. I shattered my clavicle after a fall a couple of year ago--but I finished my 4-mile walk before getting it treated. lol Take care of yourself--the group won't go anywhere!!!
