A Post Worth Sharing
@Kathy Roberts shared this in the skool community a couple of days ago! Keen to know if you saw it? Well worth a read. Kathy has a Community called The Tidy Tutor! Skoolers 99+ KathyΒ Roberts πŸ”₯ 14h (edited) β€’ πŸ’¬ Discussion Figured Out How Level Unlocks Work I asked Chat how to best ask this question… and instead of helping me with the wording, it gave me the full how-to, which was even better Here’s the question I had and the response given, in case it helps someone else too: QUESTION: β€œI love when a community leader unlocks a little surprise, a piece of content, help, or a special message at certain levels. How can I create the same thing for my members?” (*Edit: Shout out to @William Carter who inspired this, this morning when I got a guided morning meditation when unlocking a level) RESPONSE: Level-unlock bonuses on Skool are created inside your Levels settings. Here’s how to do it: 1. Go to your Skool group and click Levels. 2. Pick which level you want to unlock something (like Level 3, Level 5, etc.). 3. Add a Reward to that level. You can choose from:β€’ Access to a courseβ€’ Access to a private spaceβ€’ A link or downloadable file 4. Upload your bonus (like a meditation, mini class, pep talk, checklist, etc.). 5. Skool takes care of the β€œsurprise” moment β€” when someone hits that level, it unlocks automatically. Thought I’d share in case anyone else was trying to figure this out too!

Midweek Musing
Hello lovely Cottage Creatives! It's nearly the end of the day for me and the start for many of you. Life is like a rollercoaster for me - one week is calm and creative, and the next can be crazy and chaotic! On the second not much creating can happen and that's ok. I do try to invest time in learning something her on skool from the likes of @Sharon Jones who is a wealth of wisdom when it comes to skool business and I've been sneaking into @Diana Berryman's classroom too, she's just added some content which is worth checking out, and I've also been over to @Deb Boutzetis community and learnt how to make a yummy sauce! (it's a secret!). However, as far as actually creating myself, it's been a no-go zone! So, to help me thru this Crazy Chaos week, I'd love to know what you are creating or focusing on! Oh, I did dig up some little potatoes!

@Kathy Roberts Yay that's creative production - something I will be doing next week in my quiet week! (Please Lord, let it be quiet!πŸ˜‚)

@Kathy Roberts ps - I hear you - we have to churn a few eventually to reduce the noise! It's hard - I get attached to the person - in a good way, wanting to support them! But tbh as time goes on, the ones that aren't true to my life compass become evident, and it makes it easier to let go!
Lets Welcome another person to the cottage creative
Welcome @Marja-Kristiina Vihervaara is a writer and wants to write fiction besides other texts. Looking forward to seeing you win and get those books written! I'm still trying to finish mine, a memoir! It's a long one!

@Marja-Kristiina Vihervaara Oh I know that feeling - I'm 70,000 words into my book and I think I have to rehash it! When I stated I didn't plan it out - I just dumped it all and now I have to try to get it a bit more cohesive! What about you ?

@Marja-Kristiina Vihervaara ok well have to have a chat about that!
Messy Monday Madness!
I'd rather be making a mess while making journals, but today I worked in my Cleaning and Declutter business for 5 hours straight! It's called Cottage Declutter & Clean, and it was a start-up initiative of mine a couple of years ago when I needed some extra $ and was feeling stressed working two jobs for 'the man'. I wanted to be my own boss. I decided to work for me - and it was as easy as that! I put a photo up on FB and started telling my cleaning story! I'm good at it, really good, so I thought, why not get paid for it? Next minute, I had myself a fully fledged business, one that I can take with me wherever I go! Soon I'll be offering a one-on-one call for anyone who might need a little encouragement and some help getting started. It could be as simple as taking what you have in your hands right now, and you could be making an extra $ to. This was the simple photo I used on FB with a quick post, and the next day I had my first job and here's one of the journals that also provide income! So not only do I hold a feather duster, but I also have these journals, and sweet cloths I create in my hands too!

@Peta Mitchell it's so good - I actually have a video somewhere from an old workshop - @Tina Caruso (our silent friend) spoke about it for me. I'll see if I can find it.

@Sharon Jones I wont be guilty of that at least πŸ˜‚
Hi! Introduction
Hi everyone and thank you so much @Stephanie Kara for the warm welcome! I'm excited to be in this space because I feel creativity is necessary to feel whole, at least for me it is- and to be inspired by other's creativity. When I feel a need for creative time I love to compose or arrange songs, create digital products in Canva, organize and beautify my space, make or give gifts, and go for walks in nature. My free & tiered community here on Skool is "Piano with Ease" for adults who have wanted to play piano 🎹 and I'm so proud that it gets them playing right away because of the way there are visuals/ every fingering etc on the now 200+ sets of sheet music- so nothing to have to memorize.

@Natalie Darger Seriously this is amazing! It's quite an elaborate affair. Modern technology has opened up so much for us (some not so good - but a lot of great things) I've recently been downloading pad tracks when I have to play guitar or or piano for a service alone, and it's a game-changer for me! I don't know why I didn't do this earlier (oh yes, I do - I never knew about it until I asked a spring chicken how they were getting such a good sound behind their guitar 🀣) Never stop learning!

@Natalie Darger If you goodle pad tracks there are all sorts in all keys and they just create a really good base, underpinning the piano or guitar. I don't fel so exposed if you get what I mean. I use it mostly for when I play at church but if I ever do any solo gigs, its great too.
