Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie, I’m 36, an RN and currently battling Stage 3 malignant metastatic melanoma. I’ve always been physically active. Was a competitive swimmer for 16 years, which is where I met Luis. After swimming I tried taking up running and realized it wasn’t for me, I wanted more. I’ve always liked lifting weights, but knew nothing. I took it upon myself to learn and even got into CrossFit! I fell in love it with, but also enjoyed the transformation. I gave up CrossFit after having done it for almost 6 years and tried body building. That only lasted awhile. I’m patient, but body building became boring to me, however boring in the sense that I didn’t have a reason other than to look and feel good. I always considered training enough to get into shows, but was clouded by negative & narcissistic people. Side note: we’re done with all of them. Illness or disease doesn’t discriminate and although life altering, it’s up to us how we want to live this life because we only get one. We were all born with 3 things: a mind, a body and a lifetime. How you use the first two determines the third. Happy to be here with all of you!
