☀️ Morning Insight — Why You “Fall Off”
Ever notice how your food choices get worse when you’re stressed? That’s not random. 🧠 What’s happening: Your prefrontal cortex (your decision-making center) helps you: - plan - stay consistent - make better choices But under stress… 👉 it starts to go “offline” What that leads to: - more impulsive decisions - less follow-through - choosing what’s easy, not what’s best This is why: You can eat well all day…Then completely fall off at night 🔁 The shift: It’s not about more discipline. It’s about: 👉 recognizing when your brain is under stress 👉 simplifying your decisions in those moments 🧠 Quick check: When do your worst food decisions usually happen? Morning, afternoon, or evening? Drop it below 👇

Oh same for sure! So, I’ve noticed that sweets make my joints hurt more. I’ve been without them for (for the most part) a little over a month and feel SO much better!
Lesson 1 is out!
Lesson 1: Why you do what you do is officially available to watch in the classroom! It is my first one so don’t make too much fun of me 😅 I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions reach out!

Thank you! You did a great job! I’m relieved to know that I’m not broken but just need re-wiring! 🥰
🧠 Behavior Modification: What It Is
Behavior modification is the process of changing habits by understanding and adjusting the patterns behind them. It’s not about forcing discipline. It’s about identifying: 👉 what triggers your behavior 👉 what action you take 👉 what result you get 🥗 How It Applies to Nutrition In nutritional psychology, behavior modification focuses on why you eat the way you do, not just what you eat. Because most food decisions aren’t random—they’re patterned. Examples: - Stress → snack → temporary relief - Boredom → eating → distraction - Fatigue → convenience food → energy spike/crash 🔁 The Goal Not perfection. Awareness → adjustment → repetition That’s how behavior actually changes. 💬 Quick question: What’s one pattern you’ve noticed with your eating? 👇

I absent-mindedly sat down and munched on I don’t know how many ‘baked’ chips while my daughter told me about her job interview she had this morning! When I realized what I was doing, I brought our attention to it and put them away in the cabinet! I wasn’t being mindful at all about what I was doing!
