I think sometimes we feel like we don’t commit a “big sin,” so the Atonement of Jesus Christ doesn’t really make much of a difference in our lives. As I was partaking of the sacrament today, I started thinking about all the things I want to become—not just the things I need to repent of. I thought about all the times I was indecisive this week and how Christ can change me into someone who is decisive. How He can change my laziness into drive. My pride into humility. My apathy into purpose. The Atonement isn’t just about being forgiven. It’s about being transformed. I love the promise in Ether 12:27: “And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness… for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.” What a beautiful promise. As we become aware of our weaknesses, we don’t have to hide from them or feel discouraged by them. We can bring them to Christ and allow Him to change us into the people He knows we can become. ✨ What will you allow Christ to change in you this week? You might be thinking, "why is Stephanie sharing this with me?" What am I going to get out of watching her daughter's journey? Well. truth is, it might not resonate with you who have had all your kids go on missions. It might not resonate with you really young moms who are in the thick of motherhood with your babies and 2 year olds. But there are going to be some parents in here who this will give some hope to- Knowing that each child has their own path back to our Father in Heaven. Aren't we all here on earth to be converted to Christ and then lead others to Christ? It doesn't matter what your journey or what your children's journey looks like. What matters is we become deeply converted, and Christ offers us all a way back to our Heavenly Father - individually- it's not a one size fits all plan. How does this resonate with you?
