Lunchtime follow up... for the love of music
You may have to add a category "for the love of music" to this community @Rasheed Hooda. Our lunchtime conversation drifted off into the world of music. Just like I tell the stories of the forgotten geeks in the world of technology, I love to tell the stories of the forgotten geeks in the world of music. Born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Neath, Wales, the artist we know as Bonnie Tyler passed away recently at the age of 75. She had such a powerful voice, a perfect partner for song writer Jim Steinman who is known for writing songs for another artist with a powerful voice, Meatloaf, aka Marvin Lee Aday. Her songs bring back such powerful memories of the 1980s for me. I am sad for her passing, but I'm also sad that in all the stories of her passing I did not hear anyone mention Jim Steinman. Jim Steinman wrote Tyler's biggest hit, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which sold over 13 million copies worldwide and was released as the lead single from her UK chart-topping album Faster Than the Speed of Night (1983). Steinman also wrote Tyler's other major 1980s hit, "Holding Out for a Hero" Among other hit songs Jim Steinman is best remembered for writing Meatloaf's "Bat out of Hell" albums. Bat Out of Hell (1977) has sold 44 million copies worldwide, becoming the fourth best-selling album in history. Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell (1993), has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Turn it up loud, scream it out proud, and enjoy! The 1980s, Jim Steinman, and Bonnie Tyler, lives on in all our hearts. Rock on! https://youtu.be/vA48rDXh1_4?si=xmir4c-1GmqCfOjm 😎 😍 🎵 Have fun! Smile more!! Laugh harder!!! 😎 😍 🎵 For the love of What Inspires Me ... Music 😎 😍 🎵

Since we're a bunch of weirdos, I'll add to your post by talking about literal videos - music videos of known songs, but the lyrics now describe what's happening. Especially funny with 80s videos. For "Total Eclipse of the Heart" there is this gem: https://youtu.be/XMmXCyrV_WQ
Heya
Nice to be here! Hi, I'm Stefan - I'm currently based close to Nuremberg in Germany, and I have found this community because of serendipity and looking for "weird" spaces on Skool. I have a boring day job and I also run an exciting coaching/consultancy business called Weirdness as a Service, which is a lot of fun. I have asked myself since I was a kid what I wanted to do for a living. Never found my vocation, despite trying a good load of things besides my job in IT, until last Autumn when Weirdness as a Service was born. See, my wonderful brain usually can come up with something that can make any given situation *worse*, and that is not necessarily a marketable skill in our capitalist landscape. But I found a way to put it to good use and help people fortify their ideas by running pre-mortems with them (I'll happily explain those but don't want to turn this intro into a sales pitch). When the web was young and I was mostly communicating on Usenet, I got the nickname "endpoint of the Gauss'ian bell", because statistical averages and "normal" do not seem to work for me very well. So, if you have any questions, ask!

Still looking for my inner adult. Worked in IT security for decades, but finds more joy in running creative consulting and coaching sessions.
