Here is everything that is live right now. 🏆 THE PRIVATE STUDIO IS A REAL TEACHING TOOL NOW • Click any student and see their FULL record: where they are in the course, every lesson they have played, their best score on each one, how many tries it took, and the date they earned that best score. • Assignments like "start from Lesson 3.1" now show the whole journey inside them, lesson by lesson, so you can see exactly how far a student traveled. • Assign a WHOLE UNIT in one click. "All of Unit 1" is now one assignment. • Assign to many students at once with checkboxes. No more creating the same assignment ten times for ten students. • Got a student who used to play under a plain class code? You can now MERGE that older history onto their studio profile so nothing they earned is lost. • The student list collapses out of the way, and your My Classes page got a cleanup too: your classes up top with student counts and start dates, ready for next school year. 🎯 PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS (goals, not gates) • Set a weekly routine per student, like "practice 5 days, about 10 minutes a day", and attach expectations to any assignment, like "play this 4 times". • Students see their goals, their practice streak, and their minutes on the page behind their personal code. Still no student accounts, no emails, no passwords. The code is all they ever need. • Students can leave YOU a note from that page: "measure 12 is hard." It shows up on your dashboard. • Nothing ever blocks a student from practicing MORE. These are targets. 📊 TEACHER STATS A new At a Glance card on your dashboard: class averages, how much your students practiced this week, and the three lessons your students find hardest. Big day. The first 46 lessons of Piano Professor just got rebuilt from the ground up, and they're live right now. You all know my thing: beginners don't struggle because music is hard. They struggle because we throw notation at them before their hands know the instrument. So the whole opening of the course now works the way I actually teach in my room. Unit 1 (18 lessons): no staff, no rhythms, no fingering. Just the keyboard itself. Black-key groups, how they point you to every white key, letters printed big inside falling notes. Find C once and you can find it forever. Unit 2 (15 lessons): my favorite lesson I've ever built is in here. Mid-lesson, the vertical stream literally rotates into real sheet music. The point clicks instantly: the staff isn't a new subject, it's the keyboard written down. Unit 3 (13 lessons): finger numbers, and it refuses to rush. Six full lessons for the right hand, six for the left, then both together. And when a kid needs more time, the lesson pauses and helps instead of failing them. Each unit now ends with a badge test too. The Unit 3 test names a hand and a finger and tells you nothing else. You find the key. That's how you know it stuck. I played through every lesson myself today and fixed 18 things before dinner. That's the deal here: whatever you and your students hit, I fix, usually same day. Go try it and tell me what breaks.
