HI NICE TO MEET YOU AND I AM GLAD TO BE IN THIS SPACE YOU ARE TRYING BUILD
Hey everyone, just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently working on my own Skool community and connecting with other creators who are also somewhere in the building or pre-launch stage. I'd be interested in hearing from other community owners here. If you're the owner, feel free to say hello or send me a DM. I'd love to compare experiences.

@Wesley Mason it ebbs and flows. I try to cater to the ask of the individual. I am applying tactics from the book “Training from the back of the room “

Travels and back
I just got back from Indiana where the MSP I work for was having a picnic and worked the week there. I ran 3 stand up sessions in one day (Tuesday) and 2 sessions another day (Friday) and I was surprised that I blew my voice out. I talked so much it took me by surprise. I feel better now that I'm back in the Florida humidity and I'm glad to sleep in the me shaped hole of my own bed.

Reputation as a currency
Be careful not to think that your reputation is due to you and there to feed your pride. A few days ago, I talked about building reputation in the success of a server project. Two days after I thought the project was done, the client sent me a message that started with, "You're not gonna like this". Oh joy. My heart sank from the high of the success and pride. Only to find out that the OS of each of the Windows 2025 Servers did not have UEFI. This meant that I had to spend some of the reputation points that I had just gained. Why? Because, even though I picked up this project in the middle, and Someone else had spun up 4 server with BIOS boot methods. I continued the trend along his line and spun up 3 more servers in the wrong way because.... "I assumed". My Companies SOP clearly has UEFI when spinning up Windows 2025. Regardless of blame or pride, Responsibility doesn't accept excuses. It gets busy. So, again... communication is 80% of the job. I reached out to the client and read the vendor notes on the procedure to convert. It was a long process. But the good news, now. I was able to spend just one day and got all 7 servers converted to UEFI and the reputation points that were spent, rebounded to even more. My point: Reputation isn't there for your pride. It's there as a currency to spend and receive when things don't go as planned.

What Economy
In about an hour, I will go into a project closing call. It was a multi server upgrade to windows 2025 from window 2016. Most went well, some had to be cancelled due to older software incompatibility with the new OS. The important thing now, is not the tech brought to bare. I finished the work ahead of the end date scheduled, but I went over on the number of hours per ticket in the project. This is the real cost of project work. No matter how carefully it is planned, the reality is the fog of war exists in execution. However, it's not all about the money. There is something else at play. Something that you work on, on a daily basis. Whether you realize it or not. Reputation. I built it - intentionally - during this project. Doing things above and beyond. Things NOT asked for. Most of it was built on simply keeping the client "in-the-loop". How often we think an email is all that is needed. I fight that idea with everything that is in me. Because in my experience, see a face. Hearing the context. Understanding the AIM. These are communication skill and a craft that has it's own currency. Next time this client come back to us for a project, who do you think 1. they will ask for. 2. if they don't get me, who will they judge the results against? Your reputation starts now. It either grows or declines today. With everything you do. Build your "Craft". Show yourself "Friendly". Then your rich.

"Job's Done", "For the King"
I have these silly NPC sayings in my head from video games. Anyone remember WarCraft, the stand alone version? The grunt NPC's used to say things that I use all the time... I finished a project this week and there is great satisfaction in it. To know that you can really make a difference in the people who are counting on you to do a job. To create a "good". To aim towards something and hit it. Was this satisfaction for them? For you? or For the King? I guess the question is: "Who's your King"?
