What should I do next?
I have been using logic gate chips for some time now and understand a lot of the basics but see peoples breadboard computers with big chips that definitely aren't a logic gate array or arrangement of simple circuits like a d-latch. Are those like ROM chips? I want to start experimenting with those, what should I get that is simple and widely available?

Sorry I meant to post this in questions btw. idk why it went here...

Is that what the big chips are on your pcb computer?

Hello, I have been self-teaching myself electrical engineering for some time but still have some pretty basic level knowledge. So, I am here to see and learn from other people mainly and I might share my projects sometimes. Currently building 2, 2 bit registers with a bus and 555 timer. But I am also building a Telsa coil and an automatic winder since I suck at winding them and I can also use it for winding inductors.

I’m going to use a steam engine for the mini power plant. I just made the design and now it’s time to get the parts.

Are you going to need to CNC the parts or order them from somewhere? I know CNCs are a lot so if I ever need a custom metal part I just would order it from JLCCNC or something. Or is it made from commonly used metal parts. Don't really do much with steam engines so it will be nice to learn

I would like to learn how to use crystal oscillators in circuits for timing things, fell like not many people cover that
