@Adeline Carter These were only for special occasions, we didn't make them at home, we would buy them from the local place that was specialized in making only three things: potato chips, churros and buñuelos. You would buy them by a dozen, half a dozen... they would put them in paper bags, sprinkle the sugar and then we would eat them with hot chocolate at home. Mainly during December and January. Churros specifically are a tradition on January first in the morning, after the New Year's party all night, you wake up to have a steamy hot thick chocolate cup with crispy churros to dunk in it.
