@Shane Peterson This is a type of English exam questions for high school students called situational communication. Students should choose the best answer to complete the dialogue. Usually, the answer should be polite and natural.

@Shane Peterson Maybe the English we learn from textbooks is somewhat disconnected from how native speakers actually use the language. That’s why it’s important to learn English from native speakers. Another example, in our textbook, the doctor asked the patient: what’s wrong with you? But I asked two native speakers and ChatGPT, all of them said it’s rule to say What’s wrong with you. Then I got confused that How I explain to my students.
