Shared Responsibility
Sometimes Aging In PLACE looks like cameras in every room so your daughter can give you verbal support from another city and your son living down the street so you can keep your independence and dignity😊

And this is why you’re the best at what you do! Because I never would have thought about a camera in the room for family who lives in another state to be able to verbally support.
One Unexpected Fall
"Did you know that one unexpected fall, hospitalization, or health crisis could change where you spend the rest of your life?" Many families don't think about aging in place until they're forced to make decisions in a hospital hallway. And those last-minute decisions can cost you more than money. They can cost you your independence, your choices, and your peace of mind. Working in Occupational Therapy with over 33 years of healthcare experience I want you to know that aging in place doesn't happen by accident. It happens by planning. Don't wait for a crisis to decide your future. Please take some time to listen to the Aging in P.L.A.C.E. Planning Workshop video in the classroom today, complete the assessment and start creating your plan! https://www.skool.com/aging-in-place-planning-1969/classroom/2f0387c6

Once my grandmother started falling frequently in our home, we had to move her into a care facility because our house could no longer accommodate her due to the stairs. People definitely do not think about things such as how stairs will affect us as we age, when they are buying their forever home.
Where will you live?
"You love your home. But have you ever asked yourself, will this home still work for me 10 or 20 years from now?" Think about it. The stairs, the bathrooms, the maintenance, even the neighborhood you live in. Will your home support your independence as your needs change, or could it eventually become a barrier? I want you to understand something: The home that's perfect for you today may not be the home that's right for you tomorrow. But here's the good news. You have choices when you plan ahead! Don't wait until you're forced to move. Listen to the Aging in P.L.A.C.E. Planning Workshop recording today and start creating a housing plan that supports the life you want to live. It's under the classroom tab here in the community. Plan Before the Crisis!
