I'd say just stay consistent and practice it a lot. There are certain drills (like setting low against a wall) that help getting a feeling of what works for you. Also work on how your hands contact the ball. For that, just take a ball, really spread your fingers out and form a triangle with your thumbs and index fingers. Kinda image holding the ball like a big burger. From there shoot the ball by using your thumbs to throw the ball, with a little help from your other fingers. In general, the best way to practice is just doing it, that way you get a feeling for it.
