Adapters
I've put alot of effort in hiding all cables in my studio. It's great untill you need to move stuff around. I'm too lazy for that so I just buy new wallwart adapters each time 😅 Universal adapters work well though, as long as I don't lose those pesky barrel connectors. 😄

I'm gradually moving all my wall wart powered devices over to MyVolts connectors so I can power them all from USB-C bricks or Powered hub.. https://myvolts.co.uk/section/2/1/myvolts_power_products

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam Myvolts Make a "Superhub" https://myvolts.com/silentalchemist The other big advantage with USB-C is that it makes most things portable and powerable by battery banks :)
Some questions from a newbie!
Hi al! My name is Tim and started with modular synths this month! I have some questions... 1. How do you tune the VCO's with each other? By ear? By tuner? For example; the ERica Synth Bassline has a very sensitive freq knob. A little touch can make it out of tune. By ear it is quite hard to do. It doesn't sound complete in tune, how hard I try and how close I get. 2. How do you go from one 'song' into another? I know that modular live sets don't work with actual songs and the biggest part is improv, but does someone has tips to evolve more naturally? Would like to here from you all!

I too have a tuning app on my phone and use that for tuning by ear. I also have a 2 channel oscilloscope that has a tune function for each channel and I can keep an eyes of drifting oscillators by patching in a triangle output when using live. For the Erica Bassline(or other coarse tune oscillators) it is sometimes possible to use the frequency modulation input and patch to an attenuverter (smaller the range, the better) to give you a finer tune pot

Now is your time to shine, you're finally in a group where nobody judges you for your gear collection. Whether you have a single synth or an entire warehouse, I'd love to see your setups 😁 By the way, feel free to invite your fellow synth nerds. @Melvin Rijlaarsdam That's most of it.. The Cascadia has been temporarily replaced by the Iridium, there's still a bunch of old samplers(undergoing restoration) and a bunch of things out on loan(Yes i have a problem)

Do you use a Mixer in your setup?
I've been using analog mixers in my setups ever since I started with music production. No fancy studer, ssl, or neve consoles, just a box with lots of inputs, outputs, and routing options. I find having every synth, effect, or drum computer accessible by just opening up a fader is such an incredible time saver. The option to sum multiple inputs and record with effects is something I simply can't live without. I just bought a Mackie VLZ4 16 for live performances. There's no time to scroll through menus in a live situation. I need to find my kick drum in a fraction of a second. Actually, building up muscle memory to blindly know where to find each instrument is one of the most important things, in my opinion, for playing live. Dub mixing is also something I'd love to do, just add a delay and reverb on a send, return it to a channel, and create feedback loops. You can do this with any analog mixing desk. Do you use a mixer in your live or studio setup? Why or why not?

A decent mixer, coupled with a properly organised patchbay can become an incredible sound design tool.. There are so many tricks you can can perform by layering sounds or parallel processing to nail sounds before recording/sampling them.. Such techniques are how they would get such surprisingly rich sounds from the primitive samplers of the early to mid 80s

I am a long time fan since the release of Stratosfear Ablum (1976) . So came across this concert recording Live At Augusta Raurica Switzerland and wanted to share.
