Plugin deals 🛍️
It's not about tools and I don't want to spread the GAS disease, but sometimes a good deal comes around that might not repeat. The best deals are freebies, so feel free to post about some nice free tools too.

@Phil Jones I came here just now to post the same thing. Brilliant plugin!
WHAT'S THE BEST NEW PLUGIN YOU FOUND RECENTLY? 🧑🏼‍💻
As we approach Black Friday, let's make a list of all of the best new plugins to keep an eye out for. I'm a huge fan of the Cradle Audio plugins because of The God Particle (has been almost the only thing on my master channel for about 2 years now). It's the ultimate master bus sound-gooderizer in my opinion. A black box that does SOMETHING amazing that I'm not able to vocalise further than "it good. it very good". I'm SO stoked about their new drum focused plugin called Orion that is exactly the same level of magic as The God Particle is for mastering but for drum busses. I absolutely love a plugin that removes the need for me to over intellectualize a process. Slap it on - tweak some knobs - BOOM. All of their plugins are just GOLD! Highly highly recommend. What's the best plugin you've found recently?

Amigo by PotzenzaDSP is easily the best value plugin I've bought in the past year. Ten quid! https://potenzadsp.com/plugins/amigo/ If you want that 90s Akai s950-esque sound, this thing is incredible. I love the workflow. They just went v2 and added some real tasty features, too.

Anyone else into modular/semi-modular?
Hey fine folks of the Taches community. I've been frantic busy with some "life" stuff outside music lately, but decided to treat myself to my first piece of proper music hardware and picked up the behringer edge super cheap on a sale. I'm really enjoying the "dog a computer" phase of experimentation where I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and just twiddling knobs and making patches until I find something I like the sound of. Played the core of this out live into bitwig then added some drums and a few fx, very very quick n dirty mix and master and here it is. https://soundcloud.com/screamish/edge-fragment-1

@Deleted oooo this is very very cool. I’d not seen those modules for offloading the cv pathway sources to DAWs like yet. If you can share any more I’d be so curious. Pics, vids, links to your fav modules etc

CIRCLE OF SOUND: How R U Getting On?
15 OCTOBER Hello fellow creators! Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing now that we are over halfway through the second cycle of the games. This 32 bar loop will have been created using ONLY sounds/samples that were supplied in the sound pack given to us by our team mate at the end of last cycle. How is everyone getting on? What challenges have you run in to? What have you enjoyed? I'm super excited to see what everyone is making ❤️ TEAM 1 @Døøms Ben glass @David Vannucci @Lex Christopherson TEAM 2 @Marius Kucharzak @Patrick Huitema @Phil Jones TEAM 3 @Pianika Tomlinson @Sylvain Le groux @Aretius Klosa TEAM 4 @Anton Kholomiov @Rachael Clare @Alex Grabiner TEAM 5 @Lindsay Frederiksen @Christoph Eike [We need another team mate] TEAM 6 @Michael Singleton @Ok Ok

CONSTRAINTS ARE FREEDOM! 🥰 I managed to get free time in amongst all the crazy things in life and 2 nights with a few hours spare, plus the constraints of this awesome exercise just put in an amazing headspace. I banged out a 32-bar loop that I'm really enjoying, in fact it took me a lotta self-control to leave it at that and not go on to make it into a full track myself. Really enjoying this and hoping I can carve out the time to do justice to steps 3, 4 & 5 as well.
What is the next piece of music gear on your shopping list?
Have you been eyeing any hardware or software lately and you're just waiting to pull the trigger? What is it and what do you think it will help you with?

I’ve been entirely software (and midi controllers) only, but just recently I’ve been pondering adding some hardware. My front-runner is probably a semi-modular synth like the Behringer Edge or Neutron. Eurorack fully modular is fascinating but looks incredibly dangerously expensive so baby steps.
