What a great find!
Just wanted to do a shout out to Ryan and the team for creating this. I bought a CNC router here in Australia to help me both improve the products I could make and also the money I could raise for the men’s mental health charities I support. However, I’ve had nothing but challenges since buying a CNC. For one there was next to no customer support because I bought it secondhand and I struggled to find a consistent 101 course on CNC routing. While I’ve been putting it together through YouTube and other things I found Ryan’s videos to be fantastic to pull it all together and confirm fundamental knowledge basis. I can also see that this community can be a huge help because finding like-minded people can often be hard. Very jealous of many of you in the US who have an abundance of good CNC’s and Support teams that go with it. I’m looking forward to connecting with many of you. Cheers Josh

Hi Josh, I had a similar experience. I bought a secondhand CNC which used a software that was hard to use with no instruction anywhere. Through helping a stranger on a cnc site, who was a cnc programmer I managed to learn the software plus the controller. Lesson for me was, never give up. Enjoy the journey.

If you…
Hypothetically, is there a way to program a cnc to cut out countertops etc for undermount sinks? Depends on the sink, but most seem to be standard when it comes to the template even if you still manually have to cut them out.
If you…

Hi, I template kitchens for counter tops. I have a library of sink on my software that i can drop into the drawing. You can get the drop ins from the sink manufacturer. If you do a lot of top templates and you have a big enough cnc, it might be worth investing in and laser from LT lasers to templatethe entire counter top. They are based in the USA.

@Jeremiah Villeneuve No problem. I know the feeling. I wanted to make nice stuff that interests me and make good money, but that doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm now going after whats trending with the minimal amount of hand prep once off the cnc. Fast turn over stuff. I'm going to hit etsy and make it work.
