Are You Making Progress?

Engagement with distractions has significantly improved. We were followed by two strays and Mellow was able to not go ape shit when seeing them
Consistency Check: What's Your Biggest "Oops" This Month? 😂 + How to Bounce Back
We all have those moments... You say "Down" but your partner says "Lie down" in the same session. Or you reward 3 seconds late and now your pup thinks jumping gets treats. Consistency isn't about being perfect—it's about getting back on track fast, just like Jas teaches in the Cali K9 5-Pillar Method. Quick poll: What's tripped up your consistency lately? A) Mixed commands or word variations B) Inconsistent reward timing C) Family members doing it differently D) Distractions derailing sessions E) Other (tell us below!) Vote + Comment with your funniest "oops" story this month. Then reply with one tiny fix you're committing to (e.g., "Family rule: Only 'Down'—no variations!" or "Set a phone timer for sessions"). Pro tip from the pillars: Nail Obedience first → everything else (Socialization, Agility, Behavior Management, Problem Solving) flows easier. Let's laugh it off, share the mishaps, and level up together! Who’s posting their oops moment first? 🐶💥

For me it has been timing. I missed the wind up window right before the trigger reaction and had to deal with the reactivity. This week I'm planning on redirecting better before that happens 😣
Progress Check 📈
What’s up guys! Let’s talk results. In the last 7 days… what has actually improved with your dog? Be specific. • Better leash control? • Holding place longer? • Less reactivity? • Faster recall? • More respect in the house? Or… no real change?

less dog reactivity, which I'm mind blown and beyond excited for!
Be Honest With Yourself Right Now
Let’s check the temperature in this room. Are you: A) Watching the lessons B) Practicing sometimes C) Practicing daily with structure D) Still stuck and frustrated E) Procrastinating Drop A, B, C, D, or E below. No excuses. No stories. Just the truth. Because here’s the reality… Watching dog training doesn’t change your dog. Execution does. Consistency does. Leadership does. If you’re stuck in A, D, or E it’s not because your dog is “hard.” It’s because something in your structure is off. And that’s fixable. But only if you’re willing to actually work. 💯 Let’s see where you stand 👇
