Hi there. I just created an agent called TennisTipster. I already had some experience of betting and i already have a Betfair Exchange account. I wondered how easy it would be to get a fully functioning agent that provided predictions on tennis matches based on past results and used Expected Value (EV) that uses prices that are most favourable and produce a profit long term. Frankly I have been blown away by how simple it was. The aim is to produce a profitable strategy. The agent draws information from a number of free sources that gather data about every single professional tennis player and stats about every match going back a good number of years. This is then pulled into a SQL server database (you can use dev or express versions as these are free). I ported it to a VPS so that it runs constantly 24h a day without intervention. It emails me with the the performance report each day. Early days so far so its not possible to say if its yielding any profit but from scratch, it took me around 7 hours to produce this. I am a retired software dev but Claude produced all the code for me - i didn't change any code at all. Realistically its possible for a non techie to do this. If you need "some" help I can help but I can't babysit you! Also the bets are optional - you don't have to bet if you don't want but it makes it kind of exciting to place bets - the bets are placed via the API - so again hands free. 100% automated! Had I done this by hand it would have taken me weeks to develop and I probably would have given up. Frankly I am glad I have retired because otherwise my job will have been made redundant or will be soon! The possibilities are endless. I firmly believe if you have the dedication to learning AI and Claude Code you could make a decent living from it - and passively but it still requires work. BTW I don't mean with this project necessarily, but something similar. I haven't made any money yet but I have vision and its as clear to me, without a shadow of a doubt, this is possible.
