Networking - Use dopamine to build connections!
Stop asking the same sleepy questions and ask questions that trigger a dopamine response in the other person! People create mental markers to remember you when you ask questions that induce a dopamine response....you become more memorable and people will want to have deeper conversations with you. Example: Stop asking, "What do you do for a living"...this is a tired old question, it can also be seen as being slightly offensive because you are really asking them what they are worth. Instead, ask, "Are you working on anything exciting lately?" - This gets them thinking about the thing that are excited about... and it could be work or a hobby, so it really creates an opportunity for people to open up about themselves.
