You’re already doing the right thing by connecting with peers who’ve built strong fractional and consulting practices. You asked how others have successfully used this community and what to do (or avoid). Here’s what I recommend to help you make the most of your time and Get the Most from our Community and FEC (FractionalExecutiveConnection.com) 1️⃣ Complete your profile (after the 7-day trial is over) Include a professional photo, tagline, and a short description of what your HR consulting focuses on (for example: “helping small and mid-sized businesses design people strategies that scale”). This helps members quickly identify collaboration opportunities. 2️⃣ Post a short introduction Share your background and what you’re currently looking for. (Ex: national HR consulting partnerships, subcontracting work, or referral collaborations.) 3️⃣ Engage weekly Comment on 1–2 other members’ posts, offer insight, or ask questions. The more visible you are, the more likely members will think of you when opportunities arise. 4️⃣ Join our live calls They’re where members share current projects, lessons learned, and referrals. If you can, join at least one each month — it’s the fastest way to build trust and visibility. 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. 12noon ET/ 9am PT. 5️⃣ Avoid “waiting to be ready.” You don’t need a perfect website or brand to start networking here. Just be honest about where you are and what you’re building.
