My book series is in a Girl Scout library!
Someone I've chatted with over social for many years, and I met at a convention. She works for Girl Scouts of Northern California and purchased my entire book series and the playbook! She is putting them into the council library for Girl Scouts from her council to check out and read! Also, I handed out 250 bookmarks in a day and a half. I thought that would be plenty since I handed out fewer than 50 stickers at the last convention. Who knew that bookmarks would be more popular than stickers?

@Lynn Smargis You should reach out to your council. You would be a great mentor and that could be less time invasive than a troop leader.
Networking at a convention
I’m headed to Girl Scout convention in July. I am not having a booth as it is thousands of dollars. I can’t ‘sell’ at convention. What are your recommendations for networking / spreading the word about my books without violating the no sell rule?

@Paul Cole Sales have been fairly low. I tried doing a Meta ad campaign, but it wasn't successful, so I pulled it after a week.

I'm back from the convention. Bookmarks were a hit! I didn't bring enough and had them all handed out halfway through day 2.
🎯 There are Free Courses Hiding in This Community: Here's How to Unlock Them 📖
Hey friends and future authors, Happy Monday! One of the reasons you've come here is to learn more about writing and publishing. Every time another member likes your post or your comment, you earn points! Those points move you up through the levels, and the levels unlock specific features or courses. For example, when you reach level 3, you unlock the ability to DM other members and take the course Find Your Book Idea. That's the course that helps you take the fuzzy notion floating around in your head and shape it into a real, focused book concept. Just show up and walk through the course step-by-step. And it doesn't stop there. I'm adding more courses to the library that unlock at Level 5 and Level 7, so the more you engage, the more the classes open up. Consider it my way of saying thank you for being an engaged community member! The engagement itself is where the real magic happens. Every time another member likes your post or comment, you're not just earning points; you're building relationships with other authors who will cheer you on, read your early drafts, and celebrate with you on launch day. The courses are the bonus. The community is the point. So jump into a post today. Comment on another member's win, ask that question you've been sitting on, or share what you're working on right now. It takes two minutes, and moves you closer to Level 3. What level are you at right now? Drop it in the comments and let's see how close you are. 🦫

There are so many details when self-publishing, and if you don't get them right, your audience won't be able to find your book.
