My Awakening Journey
I was born and raised in New York City in a conservative Pentecostal household. I was no stranger to a spirituality that was charismatic and experiential, but that tradition also came with a lot of dogma and rules that I questioned from an early age. As a child, I asked the adults around me big questions that were never answered to my satisfaction. I have experienced several waves of awakening in this lifetime, with the first major wave beginning in college. I am grateful every day that I chose to go away to school, as it allowed me to engage with different perspectives and explore deep existential questions. Those questions eventually led me to change my major to Religious Studies. I wanted to better understand the worlds religions because I had been taught growing up that only a select few were going to heaven while everyone else was destined for hell and that we only had one lifetime to get it right. It never made sense to me that someone’s eternal fate could be determined simply by being born in a region where Christianity wasn't accessible. Through my degree, I realized that a common thread runs through all major world religions. I saw that if people paused long enough to recognize this unifying truth, we would stop fighting over which path is "right." I have always been drawn to Eastern philosophy, yoga, and meditation. I took my first yoga class in high school and was introduced to meditation in college. Throughout my 20s, I practiced yoga intermittently, but a deeper shift occurred in my early 30s when I committed to a regular meditation practice and began listening to musical mantras. Unbeknownst to me at the time, these practices were actively shifting my frequency. Around this same time, I read Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. While reading it, I recalled how deeply connected I had felt to Lord Shiva when I first encountered his image during my college studies he felt instantly familiar. Yogananda's book helped me realize that I had likely lived past lives in India. Shortly after, I attended a "flower reading" with a metaphysician who gave me my first intuitive reading, confirming that I had spent significantly more lifetimes in the East than in the West.

@Adam M. Heath You are so welcome! I’m grateful for your insights here and for you seeing the beauty in my unfolding. It has certainly been a magnificent ride, so far.
What Led Me Here ...
My journey began in earnest about twenty years ago, initially wading through the art and humanities of what it actually means to be human. Looking back, that pull was inevitable. I’ve always been an intensely deep-thinking creative. While classically trained, I bucked convention early on: where the traditional approach starts with the broad canvas and fills in details later, my instinct has always been the inverse—to dive straight into the microscopic engine at the center, decode the grain, and work backward into the macrocosm. As a young adult, that expressed itself as a drive for raw, visceral immersion directly into the elements. My art found form through physical design with stone, water, and soil—and at play... let’s just say I lived enough life for two of me. Roughly a decade ago, I hit that existential crossroads. When the deeper search ignited out of sheer need to unbury myself, consciousness became the only frontier that could hold that level of inquiry. I immersed myself in the history and mechanics of the ancient mysteries, tracing the thread of the alchemical masters from the 1100s up through the Edwardian era. I was fascinated by the traditional lodges that gave birth to the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the modern Western Mystery Tradition. Because I did not find my way into any institutionalized lodge or outer temple, I forged my own exploration straight down through the classical texts. I love the beauty of the ceremonial, but over time the science and the art reveal themselves entirely within. As the work deepens, external ritual tools undergo a necessary redaction; the mineral instruments fall away, and the human organism itself becomes the living altar and primary conductor. That descent eventually landed me in the Nightside current. Studying both classical and contemporary works, I gravitated toward the well-regarded "renegade" practitioners. The Typhonian transmissions and the mapping of Universe B is where I work from now and have found my home.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I love this so much! What resonates for me is the solitary exploration over many years that then leads to connecting with other explorers in community. I feel more connected in the last couple of years because of the people I have attracted into my life, than I have ever felt in the years before.

@Adam M. Heath It truly does! And isn’t that the beauty of it all?

My Awakening Journey | What is yours?
I would love for everyone to share your journey as to what led you right here, right now. I will start: My interest in the deeper questions of existence began when I was around nine or ten years old. After discovering Ancient Egypt, I became fascinated by the pyramids and what was behind them. The more I read, the more I struggled to accept the explanations for how they were constructed. That led me into the study of other ancient civilizations and eventually Atlantis through Plato's writings. I became interested in the possibility that human history was far older, more complex, and more advanced than we currently understand. At the same time, I had a strong sense that consciousness did not begin and end with a single lifetime. The idea that this was my only existence never felt right to me - I was never afraid of death and when I was 17 - I had meningococcal with my mum being told that I would likely not survive - I knew this was an 'Exit Point' I had planned, but obviously decided to continue this incarnation, but there was no one nano-second that I was afraid, in fact - I was excited. 🙂 After this my interest gradually shifted from ancient civilizations to larger questions about consciousness, reincarnation, and the nature of reality itself. As I got older, I began exploring channeled material and alternative perspectives on consciousness. Rather than following any single author or teaching, I consumed a wide range of material, looking for recurring themes and patterns. I was particularly interested in where independent sources appeared to converge on similar ideas. This research eventually led me back to the ancients. Whether studying mystery schools, sacred traditions, ancient mythology, or esoteric teachings, I found that many cultures were attempting to answer the same fundamental questions: Who are we? Where did we come from? What is consciousness? What happens after death? The next stage of my journey was exploring science, particularly quantum mechanics and quantum physics. I wanted to understand whether there was a framework that could help bridge the gap between subjective experience and objective reality. Questions about energy, information, observation, and consciousness became central to my research.

The number that came to me today is 13. The number of Moon cycles that we experience each year the number of Woman. And the message was truly a gift for me because it definitely reflects exactly where I am in this moment. I received Andromedean energy. I am experiencing “…a widening of perspective, a dissolving of limits, a sense that your consciousness is stretching beyond what you previously believed was possible.” And with Pluto finally staging direct today I think I may do a dance of joy. Thank you, Monika. This practice is truly illuminating. 💗🙏🏾
