How do i read plays and the ball
I wanna read the ball and plays can domeone help?

Reading the play will come from watching your opponents and teammates and predicting moves. Pay more attention to the cars than the ball. This is why challenges are awesome. Essentially the point of a challenge is to make your opponent hit the ball predictably. Reading ball bounces will come with training (and playing!). Freeplay is great for experimenting with a live ball. Hit it at different speeds and just watch the bounce as it plays out. Use the directional pads to change the ball’s trajectory and speed as well! Custom training packs can help with this too! Make sure to save a variety—jump into a few of the listed ones in the browse tab or use Google to search for a specific one.
Watch. Your. Replays.
No matter how painful they are… I just spent some time cringing over how many times I left an empty net in 6 man. Bad challenges…horrible recoveries. Etc. Focus on one aspect of your gameplay and only think of that the next few queues you make! (That always helps me; I tend to overthink and in turn overwhelm myself.) GGs, friends! ♡

@Hydrix Rl I like to look at my replays and pretend it’s someone else; it helps the mentality and keeps me from taking it too seriously. I just had a moment where I focused too much on micro moments instead of a generalized concept and took a dive in rank. Took me a few days to remember every game is different and we can’t be 100% ALL the time. booth pathing is great but it’s a tool to keep you in the play. Don’t get too hung up on it. You got this!!! ♡
Advice on how to handle boost management?
I bound my boost to R1 in hopes it’ll force me lay off of it and be able to feather it better during aerials. Does anyone have any advice when it comes to straight up boost management though? I know you should have about 12 boost after kickoff…and to not boost anymore while supersonic. Maybe training small boost pad pathing would be my best bet?

I’m in Plat 1 and can’t get better
Ever since I started taking my RL journey seriously I just can’t get better! Not that my Tm8’s weren’t bad but I think I’m the reason I can’t rank up. Any tips on how to get better? For air dribbles, wall dashes, speed flips etc.
