I scored a Lane Acclaim coffee table at the dump. Today I gave it an acetone bath and a gentle hand sanding. There were some really nasty dark stains on it tha made it down into the veneer. So is it oxalic acid time or should I do something different?

We had to remake a base for an antique armoire. The base is constructed of 3 types of wood. Walnut, oak and a mystery wood. The stain will look different on each and the walnut is darker than the veneer on the armoire (because walnut lightens with age). So how do I blend all these to look cohesive? I’ve never used toner.
