I am Dr Sherri Killins Stewart. I’ve spent much of my career sitting alongside leaders who are carrying really important work—work that matters to children, families, and communities—but are often trying to move it forward in systems that weren’t designed to support change. They’re navigating competing priorities, political pressures, siloed structures, and limited time. And yet, they’re still expected to lead, align people, and deliver results. What I’ve learned is that leaders don’t need more information. They need space to think. They need the right questions. They need trusted peers. And they need support that is grounded in the real work they are trying to move forward every day. That’s why I created the Leadership Action Lab. The Lab is a six-month experience for leaders who are working on something specific—an initiative, a policy shift, a program they’re trying to strengthen or launch. It’s not theoretical. It’s designed to help you move your work forward in real time. I bring together a small group of leaders, each working on their own priority, and create space for reflection, problem-solving, and honest conversation. Through coaching, peer exchange, and structured sessions, leaders begin to see new possibilities, strengthen their approach, and make progress on what matters most. I bring my experience as a former state commissioner and national systems leader—and as President & CEO of Leaders Making it Possible, Inc.—into the space. But more importantly, I bring a way of working that the voice of those intended to benefit, networks, clarity, and thoughtful action. The goal isn’t just to get through the work. It’s to lead it in a way that is intentional, aligned, and sustainable.
