The first 4 pics are what my results were after 7 days...Some parts of my soil were super dry and other parts seemed very wet and I have gnats galore, so I ended up harvesting my 2 raddish trays and I'm going to try again. The glass jar is what I got from my 2 trays of raddish- kombucha bottle next to it for size reference. I'm donating the scraggly broccoli tray to my family's chickens & I'll give the sunflowers a few more days because they look like they're giving it their best shot to thrive. I'm not sure if it's just a watering issue, or an air flow issue, or if it's just the amount of seeds used; but in the pic of one of my green trays I circled my problem areas, the seeds aren't doing much of anything. The top left is obviously a dry corner but the other bald patches are about the same soil moisture level as areas that did sprout. Some look like they've started to sprout but they're all happening at very different times and I hate to waste the seeds ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I guess my question is, how much water (I use distilled) is enough but not too much to fill the bottom trays? & how do you know if you need to set up a fan? (My house is around 70ยฐ at night and gets up to 76ยฐ during the day)

@Michael Davison thank you! I will use one in my next set up!

@Michael Davison Unfortunately, the base is solid underneath so I can't figure out a way to finagle the stand to be on the above shelf and hover below over the micros. I'll attach a photo of the lights base so you can see. One other slight con (for me) about this light is that it doesn't have a timer, just an on/off switch. I hope this info helps with your decision for your set up!

Thats a good idea, I'll have to mess around and see if I can find a way to make this light work upside down. I have one of the clip lights but I didnt like it as much so I tried the stand. But I have a lot of trouble shooting to do. You have a great set up! Your trays look nice and abundant ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
Need some help...
My smaller tray did great the first week but now I'm second guessing the steps because it feels like i'm doing this wrong. What's sprouting doesn't look lush and abundant, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. From Tylers videos and lives on social media, I gathered the steps to be something like day 1- spread the soil, spray with water, sprinkle seeds, spray with water again. Then 2 days of seed to soil contact/black out. Day 3 they get water in bottom tray and come out of blackout. And then days 4-7 they just do their thing? Any tips or corrections would be greatly appreciated. My sunflower micros look sad.

@Tyler Blohm thank you!!
Lighting
I was a little worried the greens weren't catching enough stray light from inside our condo, so I picked up a grow light from Aldi to help give it a boost. Literally don't know what I'm doing or if its helping any or how long to keep them on. There's a red light, blue light, or both at once setting. Any thoughts/input on this would be appreciated. Also got a few 10x20 trays because we ate through the smaller ones very quickly lol.

Getting started
The start up of this was fun and so rewarding. The hobby kit from growingfruition.com was awesome and the microgreens were so delicious.
