I remember one Wednesday morning walking into my office around 9:15, running late, flustered and worried about getting to work on time As I walked through the corridors something felt off. Everyone was standing to the side and I had no idea what was going on Then I saw a stretcher being wheeled down the hallway with a body on it. A senior engineer who had been with the company for 30 years had a heart attack that morning and died right at his desk, face on his keyboard. His wife and 3 kids kissed him goodbye that morning, not knowing it was his last. I was young and brand new to the corporate world. I was in shock. What shocked me even more was that within 3 days a younger engineer walked in, cleared his stuff off the desk and started working like nothing happened. 30 years of his life. Replaced in 3 days. That morning I was worried about being 15 minutes late. He had no idea he was living his last 15 minutes. You never know when your time is up. Take the risk, make the move, live the life you want. Don't spend your whole life preparing to live.
