Podcast on Cold Outreach with Michael Gardiner
Sharing this here because I think it'll be genuinely useful for this group. Just published a conversation with Michael Gardiner - he's spent 10+ years in cold email, run campaigns for 240+ B2B businesses, and isn't trying to sell you anything. One insight that stood out: he said the 4 stages of cold email - from manual outreach to today's cheap infrastructure - explains exactly why reply rates tanked. It's not deliverability. It's noise. Full episode here if you want to go deep Would love to see if anyone wants to hop on the next episode

Can't log into new inboxes
Hey guys, I bought 15 domains, made an admin account, added all the domains and created 2 inboxes per domain. That went fine. But I've been trying to sign into those accounts, but Google says - it looks like someone else might be trying to sign in, can't allow. I've tried removing 2FA etc but still doesn't work. Can someone help?

Issue solved? If not yet, happy to help. Quick question - are these Google Workspace accounts? And did you purchase them from a reseller or directly from Google? Could you please record a quick Loom video so I can better understand the issue?
Sending account is not active
Hey y'all, been getting these popups lately on instantlyai if i want to react to leads, (my current solution is switching emails so replying with another email), but anybody knows why how etc? I'm using scaledmail. Healthscore always touching 100% but idk why some of them keep disconnecting & probably connecting automatically again? , cuz my campaign is sending daily and it looks like it always hits the sending limit for all the accounts. Thank y'all!

@Zakaria B Looks more like an SMTP connection issue, not Instantly itself. That econnrefused port 465 usually means Instantly can’t connect to the SMTP server at that moment. I’ve seen this happen with some SMTP providers when: • sending limits are hit • too many connections at once • provider temporarily blocks the port Since you’re using ScaledMail SMTP, it might be worth checking with them or reducing the send per inbox a bit to see if it stabilizes. The Outlook accounts working fine also kind of confirms it’s probably provider side, not Instantly. Just my guess though.
Sudden reply rate issues
Hey guys, a few weeks ago, I was getting pretty good reply rate - 1.5 / 1% on my cold emails Then I switched for 2 weeks to a different niche - local biz. There the reply rate was bad ofcourse - 0.3 / 0.5% So I switched back to the original niches, and now here also the reply rate is shitting somehow - 0.3 / 0.5% Warm up health scores are 100%, I've also done deliverability tests on smartlead, they are fine with google, microsoft deliverabilty is bad (but that was always like that i think) What could be happening here?

In my experience, one possible thing is script reputation / engagement issue, not necessarily warmup or deliverability. When you switched to local biz for 2 weeks, if that niche didn’t engage with the emails much, ESPs might have started seeing that messaging pattern as low engagement and marked them as spam script. Maybe try: - different spintax - new copy angle - slightly different opener - new subject line Sometimes just refreshing the script fixes it pretty quickly.

Hi Nirav, did you find the answer? 350 mailboxes is a lot of sending capacity. Now if you build the prospect list based on your client’s target market, that would be better. And since your client does Media buying, SMM projects and works with eCommerce companies, you can start with a personalization angle, such as: - What platform they use (Shopify, Magento, etc.) - Their monthly traffic - Their current ad spend/pixel installed (if they are already running ads) You can use a tool like Clay to do this automatically. Once you have that info, your first sentence can mention something specific about their store. People reply much faster when they see you actually looked at their business.
