My Garage Livestream Setup
Each week I do a Livestream, usually on Instagram, talking to young men growing up without the benefit of an involved, loving father. My hope is to help them gain confidence and direction in life so they can experience the happiness they may not have had in their childhood with a relationship with their dad. Just finished this morning's livestream. Thought I would share my setup with this group. I used to focus on the numbers of those watching. (It fluctuates constantly during the livestream). This made it hard to share a genuine message and encouragement. Now, I focus on the image of the young man I am speaking to, I've named him Jason Grainger. It makes it much easier to be genuine and share with him the message I think he needs to hear from a dad that cares about him. If you know anyone who resonates with this mission I would appreciate an introduction.

This was part of the talk on Friday. For this week to fully be aware of your dialogue internal and external. The limiting thought that creeps in… change those as soon as you are aware. This is the rewiring and needs to be repeated over and over. So it’s an opportunity to change. Challenge those thoughts then change physiology stand tall move . Be bold do the opposite. Or even when we saying something externally out of habit that might minimize you. Practice receiving vs downplaying . Your emotions guide you when you are thinking limiting thoughts so in that moment challenge the thought. Change your body stance and embody the opposite thought … Ie.. as Jon gave an example. taxes are hard. This is going to exhaust me .. What if this energizes me when I finish? what if it comes together quickly. Things often are easier than we assume. And we have what it takes to figure it out. The challenge can be fun And things can change often in 3-5 tries.. but we procrastinate… Also Being aware of the monkey mind. The bodies cravings and bring it back to practice taming those urges, those distraction and this process rewires the brain.. ie in meditation every time you catch yourself off in the bushes and you come back to the present, you just rewired a stronger connection. Being aware challenging and switching old unhelpful thoughts, .. EMBODYING the confident, light, expressive, self trusting future self.. moment by moment practice We also talked about .. think of any successful person in your field or anyone you admire. Model them.. How do they stand tall walk think act. Usually a common theme is they stand tall. They have a lightness about them. They trust themselves, they express themselves. They act. It’s Light energy. Not down and heavy doubtful thoughts .. this week play as an actor and just be bold embrace that future self right now. Being aware of our thoughts and energy and beliefs/assumptions. . stay in the future self energy moment by moment What bold moves can you make towards a desire this week

Bring your journals and start reflecting on your big desires. And we will journal on a few things. Reflect on q1 and what happened. Reframe that and think about how you are different now then you were then We will also review embodying future identity Can’t wait to see you.

Hi all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. We are headed to Charleston this week to take our daughter to the beach. If anyone can host on Friday, that would be very helpful.

@Kuldeep T this message is for me as well and anyone else who can relate I hesitated at first and thought I’ll decide tmrw morning… and if someone else gets it then it wasn’t meant to be. But that’s my old way of thinking. That dipping my toe in the water vs going all in and pretending that I tired it didn’t work. So then I said nope I’ll jump in. And this experience is for everything that I am a bit uncomfortable with but being aware of it was key for me So here is the question..how often in life do we miss an opportunity because our analytical mind gets in the way wanting to make sure we have all out ducks in a row and we miss an
