Hello love! If you've been here a minute, you know I vet every potential member. I don't just let anybody in. I thought someone was a bot recently. Turns out they have a heartbeat and came because of a reel on my socials - BUT their profile ... sucks ... and is highly suspicious. I'd like to share how I go about vetting people who want to join. - I look at their photo. If they have a flat pic, an obvi AI pic, or something that loks like one of those "canned" photo frame from Walgreens pics, I find that suss. - I look at their name. IF it's just initials, that's suss. - I look at their bio. If it's in all caps - suss. If it's 1-3 words, suss. If it's "I love to learn" or similar, suss. If it basically says nothing, suss. If it's someone who helps with faceless YouTube automation, suss. - I used to have a math question as 1 of my 3 membership questions, but turns out the bots can do math even when it's what is four (spelled out) plus 3 (numeral). - I see if they have activity on Skool. It's totally okay to be new, but I am looking to see if their contributions in other communities are helpful or suss. How do you create a bio that shows you have a heartbeat? Simple. Show your name and something of your personality, A robust bio that really shares something about you goes a long way. An AI pic can be okay for sure, but it shouldn't be like bad clipart. I would've =declined 1 person because they had an obvious business not real name - except I know them from other communities and I know their REAL first name. If you've been here for a while, you KNOW I've shown you some people I've declined or even banned. I've kicked 1 person out and reported and banned them for spammy behavior. Skool is about showing up as you. It's not a social media platform where your username could be user36348743 and nobody cares. So, if any of this ouches you just a bit, you MIGHT wanna beef up your bio and present yourself like you actually have a heartbeat. End of my TED Talk
