I almost didn’t say this out loud.
I was sitting in the shop getting my daughter’s hair done. Laptop open. Finishing touches on our sabbatical plan. Thirty days. Again. Nigeria. Ghana. The Philippines. Bali. Dubai. Bangkok. Thailand. Family fun. Rest. God. Dreaming. This is our third one. And I’m excited. But here’s what I told my husband recently. The weeks leading up to a sabbatical? I work like a mad woman. Not because the business needs it. Not because clients demand it. But because somewhere deep down… I don’t always feel like I deserve this much time off. Corporate taught me that rest has to be earned. That joy must be justified. That abundance should be balanced with exhaustion. So even as an entrepreneur with freedom, I found myself recreating the same trap. Overworking. Overproving. Overexplaining. Just in case God changed His mind about blessing me. And that’s when it hit me. Rest isn’t a reward. It’s a responsibility. If I say I believe in freedom, but only feel safe resting after punishment-level productivity… then I’m still operating from corporate conditioning. My daughter doesn’t need a mom who ā€œearnedā€ joy. She needs a mom who models it. My husband doesn’t need a wife who burns herself out first. He needs a partner who trusts what we’ve built. And my clients don’t need another exhausted expert. They need proof that alignment actually works. So this sabbatical isn’t just about travel. It’s about unlearning the lie that rest requires permission. Clarity doesn’t come from grind. It comes from trust. Justin-Welsh-style punchline: You don’t earn rest. You practice it. P.S. If you want help landing rich clients using your authentic voice, go to landbigclients.com. It’s just $97 until further notice.

WOW! This REALLY spoke to me!.... Rest isn’t a reward. It’s a responsibility. If I say I believe in freedom, but only feel safe resting after punishment-level productivity… then I’m still operating from corporate conditioning.
Let’s take it back real quick 😭😭😭
When I left my $300k corporate attorney job, I didn’t know what I would do next. All I knew was that I was called to more—but y’all, that ā€œmoreā€ wasn’t clear at first. I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t have investors. I just had faith… and a fire that wouldn’t quit. I didn’t know if I could make it as an entrepreneur. I didn’t know how I’d replace my income. But I had enough faith to start. Those early days? Whew. Our first few months in business we made $800. Eight. Hundred. Dollars. But we kept showing up. We kept pitching. We kept selling. And little by little, those sales started stacking. Fast forward—and this year, we made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in America for the second year in a row. But here’s the truth most people skip over: it wasn’t easy. There were times I couldn’t pay myself. Times I questioned whether I was crazy for leaving that ā€œsafeā€ job. I’ve had employees quit without notice. I’ve been stolen from. I’ve cried over chargebacks and sleepless nights wondering if it was all worth it. But I didn’t quit. Our email list grew to over 100,000—but it started at zero. We’ve served thousands of customers—but I remember having one person in my program. Just one. And this month alone? We sold four $100k offers. But I remember when my highest priced offer was $67. Y’all, our clients today are literally the best of the best—the top 10% of experts in the world. But I remember struggling to get anyone to see my value. That’s why I’ll never stop reminding people: every setback was a setup. Every ā€œnoā€ led to a better ā€œyes.ā€ Every time I chose faith over fear, I was building the foundation for the life I have today. So if you’re in a season where it feels like no one’s watching your livestream, no one’s signing up, no one’s saying ā€œyesā€ā€”don’t stop. Keep showing up. Your breakthrough is closer than you think. I am beyond passionate about experts scaling. It’s why we’ve decided to do Speak Your Way To CashĀ® Live virtually so those all around the world can attend with no excuses.

Hi ā€œSpeak your way to cashersā€ā€¦ šŸ‘‹šŸ¾. I’ve been away from this chat for a week only because my wife and I just hosted our first Conference Cruise to šŸ‡§šŸ‡² Bermuda!!! šŸ™ŒšŸ¾ but I’m back !! šŸļø We took 30 speakers that are in our coaching program on a cruise , held workshop sessions onboard, gave them time to get some R&R and then arranged a mastermind for them to speak at once on the island! Of course it didn’t go exactly as we planned and there were some unexpected challenges and changes to overcome, but it did go well and we were in Bermuda šŸ¤·šŸ¾šŸ˜œ Our next speakers event is Nov 6 and ticket sales are low, but we have 2 weeks so pray for us and we welcome any last minute ā€œfill an onsite eventā€ strategies from any students of @Ashley Kirkwood students, lol. šŸ‘€šŸ˜³šŸ˜œ Not advertising here (no links shared) just sharing a few wins made possible by the mindset shift I’ve experienced here and with this community… thanks.

Congratulations and many more to come! Keep the momentum! When I did my first event in 2019, all I did was radio. I was new to Baltimore and no one knew me. God graced me to be on several podcasts in surrounding areas (DC, VA) for free. The 300 seat auditorium was almost filled. Most people, sad to say, are last minute. You're be suprised what the news and radio may be able to do for you if you have the budget. Do SMS and RVM's (ringless voicemails) to your email, list as well. I'm assuming this is already on Eventbrite and like sites. Ask Chat GPT for the winning last minute tactics/strategy to fill your desired goal. Have fun and saying a prayer!
