Kia Orana, my names is Shantdel Hei-Ura, I was born and raised in Rarotonga, I currently reside in QLD Australia, I have family all over Rarotonga from most of each Village, but I am from both Avatiu/Nikao and Takuvaine Valley. I am here to reclaim my reo as it has always been my biggest shame not being able to speak my reo fluently or be able to understand it - so I’m here to rid myself of that shame being as it’s something that I have always craved and wanted to do, even though I grew up in Rarotonga i was never encouraged to speak it - so I’m not only here for myself but always for my own future pepes, so I can give them a piece of where they came from.
