Is realizing it’s not about "stepping" sharply from note to note. It’s actually just a very gentle, fluid slide.. Think of it like a smooth, warm smear of sound rather than taking a rigid staircase. It takes a little patience to build up that muscle memory, but it’s so worth it. Vocal bends add this lovely layer of emotion and texture to a song without taking over the whole melody. Once you start listening for them, you’ll realize they are hidden everywhere, from the gorgeous, powerhouse tracks of Celine Dion to country music. ​It takes a little time to get it to feel effortless, but please be gentle with yourself while you practice. You’ll get there!

Hello yall! I'm happy to be here. Curious to see what this singing journey will bring me, which I embarked on about 2 years ago! I have an awesome feel for rhythm and am in general a self-taught musician. Love me some Latin, some Soul, Blues and Jazz. I'm now focusing on exploring this awesome great (personal) instrument I have, which I can take with me anywhere! It's so practical right!? Can't wait to pair it up more often with my guitar! 🎸 For now I'll be working on some basics and things I've learned from Rhea's online class. I've already improved, definitely! Even during the lesson with only a few pointers. It sure surprised me to hear the potential my voice has. 😃 Did I say I love to dance?! 🕺
