Thanks for inviting me Jess. Hi all. I'm a Neurodivergent Mum of 1 Neurodivergent teen and 2 Neurodivergent adults. I have CPTSD and have been told by my last attempt at seeking help that I was just too complex and would need 3-4 specialists in the mental health field. I took that as 'I'mjust too broken to be fixed'...it has taken me 2 years to decide I am not too broken...she was not well enough equipped to do her job!. I've been a full-time carer for 27 years now, starting from taking that Carer role from my husband looking after his Mum who had to live with us for the first 8 years of our marriage. He left school in year 9 to be her full-time carer until I came along. The giving and emptying from my cup continued with each child I had. I can admit now after many years, loving your children doesn't always mean we have to like them. Because I will be honest... One of my three I really did not like for many years, no matter how much I loved them. The pure destruction they caused within and outside of our family unit was immense, almost catastrophic. It has improved. But there lingers parts I cannot let go of. I have been on a major life changing journey the past 4 years, although the past year has tested my resilience, patience, endurance, faith, beliefs, physical being and self-care. I need to get back in touch with nature, movement and nourishment. The past 6 months has forced my hand in letting these essentials slide...and my whole being is feeling it, craving it, yet feeling like they arebeing withheld from me! Every time I get back to finding them, something happens and I am pulled away from them over and over again. Just releasing that in writing has helped lighten the load and guilt. I look forward to what I can find within.
