Trading red days
Im curious what others are doing here for trading/algos on red days that arent non farm payroll? Do you usually keep the algos off on any red day or only on certain red days?

I’ve only been using the algos for just under 2 months, but I have been day trading for 6 years. My main No Trade day is Fed Rate Decision days because the news drops mid day and price just moves weird before that. Most news (like tomorrow) drops in the premarket an hour before the open, or 30 minutes after open, so I wait until the initial reaction settles and the market picks a direction before trading. Those can be really good trading days sometimes because there is often momentum and clear direction, which is all a day trader can ever really hope for. Sometimes the worst trading days can be the day BEFORE a big news event because price gets chopping and can’t pick a direction until after the news. Tomorrow I may keep the algos off until after the 10am news settles and for sure won’t manual trade before then.
🎥 🚀 Beyond Apex: My Top 3 (Recording Available)
Thanks to everyone who joined today's session! We took a look beyond Apex and explored my top three funded futures firms: GOAT Funded Futures, My Funded Futures, and Tradeify. If you couldn't make it or you'd like to revisit the discussion, the recording is now available. In this session, we covered: - Why it's worth diversifying beyond a single funded firm - The account types offered by each firm - Key rules and differences to consider - Which firms I prefer for manual trading vs. automated trading - The pros and cons of each based on my own experience Whether you're just getting started with funded accounts or looking to expand beyond Apex, I hope this session helps you make a more informed decision. As always, if you have additional questions after watching the replay, feel free to post them in the community. I'm happy to help. See you at the next session! — Coach Stephen

@Shawn Worley I have been using Strategy A (Poseidon) on a couple of GOAT Eval accounts and I am close to passing the Eval. Trades are usually 20+ minutes. I would prefer to use something more conservative on PA accounts once they are funded so I’m looking at Ares as a possibility or trying more conservative settings on Poseidon.

@Stephen Gerald Onyia I wasn't able to make it today, sorry! I would love to get the recording or a summary if that is possible, thank you.
profit trading question
according to investCEO chatgpt, my profit for this trade should be $400 and it was instead $100 and don't know why

The $100 is correct. On MES, 1 point = $5 per contract. Price moved 5 points so that is $25 per contract with 4 contracts. Maybe the confusion is in the way your spreadsheet shows 20 points, and if it were 20 points PER CONTRACT then that would be $400 but 20 points is the total for all 4 contracts combined, so the profit is $100. I hope that makes sense…
Apex Cancelled PA Accounts because of Algo
I just lost 9 funded accounts because of the Algo on Apex, one of which I was going to request a payout on today. I knew it was a risk but was assured that the way the trades were made it would not create issues with Apex. Essentially they couldn't tell it was an algo. That was incorrect.

@Jack Siegman Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. It must have felt like a kick to the stomach when you read the message… thanks for sharing it with us so we can all learn from it.

@Sware Derua The way their rules read, copy trading is allowed as long as the lead account is being manually traded by the account owner and it’s not copy trading someone else’s account or automated trades.
