Going Into April With a Different Story
I want to leave March with one thought. A lot of people with ADHD spend way too much time assuming we are the problem because the systems we've tried (the planner, the app, the routine, the schedule, etc...) did not stick. The conclusion we often jump to becomes: Why am I so lazy? Why am I so inconsistent? I am doing this all wrong! I can't... [insert goal here]! But sometimes, the real problem is not that we are incapable. Sometimes, the real problem is that the system did not fit our real life, our real energy, or our actual brains. That is the kind of conversation I want us to keep having in April. So as this month closes, here is my question: What is one system, tool, or method you were sure was going to help, but ended up feeling heavy instead?

A tool I’ve used that feels heavy is project management software. Mainstream ones don’t seem to make sense to my brain. I’m working towards vibe coding one that makes sense to me. Using good old fashioned spreadsheets in the meantime 🤗
