the beauty of non-duality
in a world that often asks us to see everything as black or white, we forget that we're allowed to hold two truths at once. you can be committed to your spiritual evolution while still grounding yourself in the human experience, you can deeply desire true love while genuinely enjoying solitude and feeling fulfilled on your own, you can crave abundance while valuing simplicity, you can deeply miss and long for someone while also knowing they aren't right for you, you can prioritize your health while still enjoying a treat every now and again, you can forgive someone and still choose not to let them back into your life. both can exist. and often, they do. i recently pulled an oracle card that said: "let your authentic humanity shine forth while also bowing to the inner divine. you can become fluent at doing both." so much of suffering comes from believing we have to choose one side of ourselves. but life isn't lived in extremes. it's lived in the space where seemingly opposite truths coexist. one of the quickest ways we create shame is by denying ourselves that complexity. when we believe only one feeling, one identity, or one truth is allowed, we start judging the parts of ourselves that don't fit the narrative. let this be an invitation to embrace the parts of yourself that seem to contradict one another. 💭what are two truths you're learning to hold at the same time right now?

@Melvinia Ford same! a big one for me right now is wanting more action, creativity, and making moves while still craving stillness, rest, and slow mornings

@Bonita Staker thank you for sharing :) I think this is where duality and non-duality meet. The opposites exist, but non-duality reminds us they aren’t separate or in competition, they’re expressions of the same whole. We don’t have to eliminate one to honor the other. I love your last line: unity, not division. That’s beautifully said
🌿what are you learning about yourself?
one of the most important parts of the creative journey, even before what you make…is how deeply you know yourself. because you can only go as deep in your art as you’ve gone within yourself🫀 your patterns. your emotions. your desires. your truth. this never really ends. you’re always changing. always evolving. always becoming different versions of yourself. so learning who you are is a constant process; a relationship you keep nurturing and returning to. 🦋what’s something new you’ve been learning about yourself lately? 🦋how can you bring that into your art or your everyday creative life? and if you had to put it into words, where are you at right now? vote + share more if you feel called🌀

@Madison Hines a seemingly never ending quest🗺️ what does this version of yourself want and need? what do you feel is missing from your current trajectory?

@Amanda Alston i truly commend and honor your for making amends with the past and moving forward. that is an incredibly difficult thing to do, and you are so strong to choose that for yourself❤️‍🩹 i hope you continue to feel love & give yourself compassion on this journey of reprogramming
the power of becoming a beginner again🪄
one of the most transformative things you can do for your confidence is become a beginner again. when you start a new creative hobby, you're stepping into the unknown. you have no proof you'll be good at it. no guarantee you'll stick with it. and yet, something in you feels curious enough to begin anyway. there's something incredibly powerful about that. every time you allow yourself to learn, experiment, make mistakes, and create without needing perfection, you strengthen trust in yourself & you remind yourself that your worth isn't tied to talent, productivity, or mastery. it's tied to your willingness to show up. here's what starting something new can teach you: ✨ it builds self-trust. confidence isn't created by already knowing what you're doing. it's built through action. every time you try something unfamiliar, you prove to yourself that you can handle uncertainty and keep going anyway. ✨ it softens perfectionism. beginners are supposed to make mistakes. when you give yourself permission to be imperfect, you create space for play, growth, and genuine learning. ✨ it expands your world. new hobbies often lead to new communities, conversations, opportunities, and friendships. sometimes one small yes can open doors you never knew existed. ✨ it reveals hidden parts of yourself. there are interests, gifts, and passions you may never discover if you only stay within what's familiar. sometimes a new creative practice helps you meet a version of yourself you've never met before. ✨ it keeps your creativity alive. trying something new brings freshness back into the creative process. it awakens excitement, curiosity, inspiration, and a sense of wonder that can spill into every area of your life. sometimes a hobby isn't just a hobby, it's an invitation. an invitation to grow, explore, and reconnect with yourself in a new way. you don't always know why something is calling you. but curiosity is often worth listening to. 🐛 is there a creative hobby you've been thinking about starting lately? what is it, and what draws you to it?

@Melvinia Ford i feel this!! for me i realize im aware those things will always be there, but maybe its time to introduce something new to feel the excitement of novelty again. (i also have adhd and this is how my brain works best sometimes hahaha)

ooo i love the way you described this, it made me reflect myself. maybe its not the art itself that needs novelty, but your approach to it. the stories you've been telling yourself around creating and how it has contributed to pressure or internal blockages. and it's supposed to be fun! but i understand how these feelings can come up when you start to take your art to the next level professionally. but know you are feeling this for a reason! underneath it all is care. care for your art, care about the people you're reaching, care about making an impact, and that's beautiful! find the balance and be okay with holding both, you are honoring yourself in such an admirable way🫀
spiritual hot takes❤️‍🔥
what is one spiritual quote, belief, or piece of advice that you don't agree with, and why? i'll go first. mine is: "everything happens for a reason." while i do believe we can find meaning in our experiences and even grow through painful ones, i've never fully resonated with this phrase. sometimes i think it can encourage us to overanalyze our grief or wait for something we think is owed to us, instead of simply allowing it to exist. when we're hurting, we can become so focused on finding the reason, the lesson, or the hidden message that we don't give ourselves permission to just feel what we're feeling. i don't think every painful experience needs to be justified in order to be valuable. sometimes heartbreak is just heartbreak. sometimes loss is just loss. and usually the meaning comes later, not because something happened for a particular reason... but because YOU chose to create something meaningful from it. you chose to grow, heal, learn more about yourself, alchemize the pain, create something that didn't exist before, and face wounds instead of waiting on the universe to gift you something. that's my take, but i'm curious to hear yours... what's a spiritual quote, belief, or piece of advice that you've questioned or don't agree with, and why?👇

@Melvinia Ford I guess jt comes down to you creating the reason vs waiting for something outside of yourself to justify the pain. what do you think?
