Are we getting old or leveling up?
Age and rules about how we should act are a favorite pastime for people who forgot to live and now try to remember by observing and critiquing other people. They collect “shoulds” like rare collectibles. At this age, behave. At that stage, tone it down. Smile less. Laugh quieter. Sit properly. Exist with a warranty. Meanwhile, I’m busy actually living. Not memorizing how life is supposed to look, but playing it. No instruction manual. No hall monitor. Here’s the upgrade they missed. Getting older is not a shutdown. It’s a level-up. For those who choose self-love, growth, peace, happiness, and healthy connections, age comes with better perks. - More clarity. More presence. - Stronger boundaries. - Amazing experiences. Precious connections. - Less tolerance for nonsense. - And a premium “no thanks” button that works instantly. While some people age like expired rules, others age like unlocked features. New wisdom. Better taste. Fewer apologies. Joy with fewer side effects. So if my joy looks inappropriate for my age, don’t worry. I didn’t forget the rules. I just outgrew the tutorial and moved on to the expansion pack. Still leveling up. Always playing. Unapologetically, fully alive. Note: Sharing a few snapshots of me in real life. Unfiltered. Unscripted. Fully present. I proudly choose to be a happiness spreader, a supportive heart, and a free soul. Someone who lives the NOW, not as a concept, but as a daily practice. I show up fully, feel deeply, laugh loudly, and stay present with what is actually happening, not what is supposed to happen. No shame. No overthinking. Just feeling and tasting life in every breath. This is me, in motion. In connection. In truth.
