Get the first job :)

Hello folks. I'm struggling with foundations of JS, like callbacks, promisses, variable scopes, context, arrow functions and etc. Before this, when I was programming in React.js, Next.js, I understood everything intuitively. Also, I'm learning algorithmes. I'm self-taught. No one can teach me, so I have to learn myself. I’m also struggling with myself, trying to stay motivated, since I’ve been without an IT job for three years now. I am learning English on my own.There is a lot of work to do on yourself ahead. I wish everyone patience and obstinacy.

@Dragos Nedelcu I agree with Dragos. I created a portfolio but reach nothing. I don't mean that to have a portfolio is a bad idea. What I mean is that you need to do more than just a project and a portfolio, namely, be able to pass interviews and be prepared for them. This is what admins of the group were talking. But I'm not very interested in programming for the sake of programming. I'm interested in creating applications. Therefore, I will try to prepare for interviews and apply this knowledge to my projects.

Hey Alfred! We are in a similar situation. What do I mean? I also have no official job for two years. And I am also passionate about programming. I’m also ready to work for free, but only for the first time to gain experience. I guess you don't want to work for free forever? 😁 And it seems that there are a lot of us like that. If I were an employer, there would be a large selection of candidates. In this case, I would rather pay the money and hire a quality worker than waste time making a choice.. After all, as employer I have no desire to teach anyone. Unless, of course the employer is Dragos and Bogdan. 😉 So if your goal is to gain experience, but no one writes to you, then what Bogdan and Dragos is doing will help you. Or if you, like me, don’t have good English, or if you don’t have money (or even a foreign card that is blocked), then your path is lonely, learning from your own mistakes, which takes time. And the answer to your question about asking companies about free work. In my opinion, you can continue doing this if it doesn't take much time. Suddenly, someone will respond. The main thing is not to be disappointed later. Or you can start improving your skills yourself or together with SeniorDev. If you want to ask, ask. But don’t forget to upgrade your skills. Believe in yourself. And everything will work out sooner or later.

I tried to make applications to improve my skills and make them for people. To then receive feedback, grow, and create a good product. But practice has shown (with different communities) that my desires often differ from the desires of other people. Therefore, I decided to improve my skills without trying to create a product and a community around it. But there is another idea. Find an open-source product or one with a minimum-wage job. All to upgrade my skills, grow, and receive feedback. How can I implement this idea?
